New show introducing the racing industry to beginners aswell as promoting the upcoming carnival. Seems like a good idea to me, at least they are making an effort to get new people to the track, BUT they have to ensure that when the people do go to the track they enjoy themselves and they will want to return....

10 out 0f 10 for a media promotion like this.
I betcha they wont mention the $9 admission fee for saturdays races.

SCOOB is right getting people there for a day is a simple exercise.
Getting them back at times seems insurmountable.

well the SAJC know that people go over the cup carnival and im thinking now they are having some of those lead up races, so its not a bad idea running a promo like this.

my thinking would be to run this promo in the middle of winter, make 2 for 1 admission.
have drink specials, food specials, betting vouchers, give aways etc........

True story: this same campaign and slogan was put forward to the SANFL and the marketing departments in 2005 as a suggestion for that year's marketing campaign. It was rejected out of hand. Interesting that it was shelved for 2 years and revived under another sport...

Seems a good idea why would the SANFL not go for it? you would think with their little media coverage they would jump at the chance...
