Can someone please explain how fold bets work?

Say I want to bet on picking 7 out of 9 winners this week in the AFL (any 7 of the 9 winning teams).

If I select my 9 winners and then place a 7-fold bet on those 9 winners does that cover what I am trying to achieve?

Is it the same as putting 36 individual bets on that cover the 36 different combinations of picking 7/9?

I'd assume the return changes based on which 7 get up.

7/9 - $5.28 Return

So not a real smart investment.... obviously if only 7 of the 9 get up then only 1 of the 36 bets is going to pay out. If 8/9 get up then 8 of the 36 bets will pay and if 9/9 get up then all 36 bets will pay.

So unless you look for something with longer odds, then you're better off just trying to back the 9 winners.

why not pick the teams that look like winning as an anchor to the multi
