heard on the radio he has admitted having a bet in a race where he rode another horse, gunna go a row of shithouses surely?

and also reported he will retire when charged
theres a couple of other people who would hope this disappears without a deep investigation!

time to bring in the kiwi rules
let the jockeys punt but regularly check their betting accounts

It is instances like this that reinforce my reasons for avoiding betting on horses. How pathetic that Oliver was allowed to mount up in the Melbourne Cup and now his punishment expires just in time for next years Spring Carnival. Would it be a reasonable assumption that the people who run racing are either corrupt or just poor managers?

Yeah you are right of course. swept under the carpet until the international media left town. I think they should put Andrew Demetriou in charge of racing, he would fix it.

It was possibly the first time he ever laid a bet in a race that he was riding in? But I agree it would hardly have been his first flutter!
