Melbourne Cup Venue

Hey Lads and Ladettes,

Looking for a good place to spend the day on Cup Day, with decent betting facilities being perhaps the biggest priority.

Most local venues we would usually be inclined to visit only have the 1 or 2 Totes, and the type of crowd that will likely slow the process down by loading up on their $1 cup bets all day long, making it difficult to punt on the other races.

The Lockleys Hotel is perhaps the most suitable venue with 4 Totes, but we will likely be with a mate who is presently unable to venture into said establishment, so would appreciate any suggestions.

Will be at the Morphett Arms for the 4th year in a row. Good atmosphere, 3 TAB units, plenty of room, free sausage sizzle last year too!

i would suggest if venturing out to a venue

place your bets via the net before you head off, or load up the account and use phone to either ring or bet through

Westies should be alright for the day mate. Has the food there, cheap beers, got the two tabs to work from (although not much but dont get a big amount of people there, plus they are having a dedicated person to the TAB the entire day).
