is this a cock up as you could load up on both and win regardless of outcome?

Come game day I expect they will be starting favs, and you'll likely get the pies at +4.5 @ 1.92 with one of the corps.
Gives you a tiny profit on any result and a decent collect on the cats by 4pts.
