I notice Sportsbet have an offer whereby a bet on Tiger Woods to win outright, gives you a matched bet on Adam Scott to win outright (or vice versa).

Woods is currently $24, Scott $21 with Sportsbet.

I don't follow the Golf closely enough .. Does anyone give either of these blokes much of a chance?

Scott has some chance. I like Fowler. Its a course for the long iron players, oh and super fast greens. Scott will need to put like he did at the WGC bridgestone to have any chance.

I have put a few bets on.

Scott 24/1
Watney 38/1
Fowler 36/1
Dusty Johnson 32/1

And at odds
F Molinari - 280/1
Snedeker - 230/1
Quires - 330/1

Scott will need to get the putter moving better than he had before the Bridgestone, Ron is right on the money there. He is a chance, but I wouldn't take too short a price on him before round 1.

Don't know how to line Tiger up. Each time I see him, that putter still looks like it's made of rubber, such is his lack of control over it nowadays - nothing like what we were so used to seeing.

Some of the outsiders worth a look:

Martin Kaymer: $34
Sergio Garcia: $61
Robert Karlsson: $91
Richard Green: $151 (in great form at present and the putter usually a strength)
Camilo Villegas: $201
Jason Dufner: $201
Absolute bolter that is not in too bad form and loves this tournament: Steve Elkington: $301 (yes, I know, not normally a name we even consider nowadays, but has played some very good rounds of late).

Round 1 leader:
Steve Stricker: $34
Bubba Watson: $41
Robert Karlsson: $81
Justin Rose: $81
Alexander Noren: $101
Ricky Barnes: $126
Cameron Tringale: $151
Stephen Gallacher: $151

Be wary of short prices on Lee Westwood ($14), Phil Mickelson ($26) and Nick Watney ($31) - all look a bit under to me and can be hard to catch, despite high world rankings.

If anyone followed my selections at the top, getting a run for your money on one of these- Jason Dufner co-leader now on -5.

T1 22 Jason Dufner -5 F -5 70 65 - - 135
T1 35 Keegan Bradley -5 F -6 71 64 - - 135
T3 10 D.A. Points -4 F -3 69 67 - - 136
T3 2 John Senden -4 F -2 68 68 - - 136
T3 33 Jim Furyk -4 F -5 71 65 - - 136
T3 1 Scott Verplank -4 F -1 67 69 - - 136
T7 2 Anders Hansen -3 F -1 68 69 - - 137
T7 6 Brendan Steele -3 F -2 69 68 - - 137
T7 6 Steve Stricker -3 F +4 63 74 - - 137
T7 2 Brandt Jobe -3 F -1 68 69 - - 137
T11 12 Jhonattan Vegas -2 F -2 70 68 - - 138
T11 2 Adam Scott -2 F -1 69 69 - - 138
T11 9 Jerry Kelly -2 F +3 65 73 - - 138

John Senden and Adam Scott are both beautifully placed here to make a real run. If you like one at odds, Brandt Jobe has been in consistent form for the past 12 months and has been very steady here. The sort who can make a quiet move up the leaderboard and strike. That said, he hasn't won a tournament in 14 years, so would need to really make some history to do so.

Dutchy, some players are more prone to starting well in tournaments than others. Stricker is one who often starts well and has good third rounds, but seems to struggle in second rounds for some reason - he fitted the criteria here.

Some bigger names that have missed the cut - Martin Kaymer, Jason Day, Justin Rose, Geoff Ogilvy, Camilo Villegas, Stewart Cink and Tiger Woods. Brandt Snedeker had a two shot penalty for arriving two minutes late for his tee time.

Set for a big finish, and the final hole will prove pivotal. Some brutal scores being shot on the par 4 18th, with a number of players in every round firing the ball into the water.

T1 6 Brendan Steele -7 F -4 69 68 66 - 203
T1 - Jason Dufner -7 F -2 70 65 68 - 203
3 2 Keegan Bradley -6 F -1 71 64 69 - 204
4 1 Scott Verplank -5 F -1 67 69 69 - 205
5 2 Steve Stricker -4 F -1 63 74 69 - 206
T6 1 Anders Hansen -3 F E 68 69 70 - 207
T6 3 D.A. Points -3 F +1 69 67 71 - 207
T8 45 David Toms -2 F -5 72 71 65 - 208
T8 31 Charl Schwartzel -2 F -4 71 71 66 - 208
T8 18 Robert Karlsson -2 F -3 70 71 67 - 208
T8 3 Adam Scott -2 F E 69 69 70 - 208
T8 5 John Senden -2 F +2 68 68 72 - 208

Dufner was five shots clear of Bradley as he teed off at the 15th. Amazing collapse, as Bradley made his charge.
