Surely everyone has an opinion on this one!
My winner is Corey Brown, he gets alot of praise and butchers alot of rides!

i think c.brown is harsh to be in here on other comments. although when he is out of form i wouldnt let him ride my bike, when he is in good touch he will win on anything
mcevoy does get some great rides every midweek and metro meets and struggles to get them to place. when it comes to big race riding though he is very good. hard to be bad in those races with the calibre of the darley team
melbourne apprentices are going to be top class imo. melham, stackhouse, noonan, etc. must be something about melbourne because these jockeys come from other places and ride very well. noske was the same when he went to p.moody a couple years back. j.maskiell also will be good if he gets his life in order
cant go past nolen
oliver has lost it this season. all credit to him though with what he has lost and damaged in the past

Gatt and McEvoy for me .. Katsidis used to bomb several good rides also, but then he could regularly get unfancied runners home.
Dunn is one that is always touted by the experts as being a very good jockey, but he doesn't win out of turn in the JC's.
Ben Claridge is a favourite of mine although it must be getting close to a year since I can recall him having regular rides and Josh Parr is another favourite.

Lindop, especially when riding at Oakbank.. i swear she is scared when she rides there. cost me a fortune 1 easter saturday a few years ago.. She was riding deadset favs, leading by 2-3 lengths just before turning to come down the hill and ending up being 6th by the straight.
Let her know about it after 1 race as they came back around by the 1100m mark on the warm down..

Lindop - don't think she's terrible but feel sorry for her that certain sections of the media hype her up so much because let's face it, if she was rated on a national level, she wouldn't still be here.

Mitchell Speers, $1.70 fav last weeks jockey challenge, 1 point
Sunday was also a disgrace,i think maybe 4 points,!
Total 10 rides for 5 points, 6 favs
Will only ever be an apprentice!

Was an article on front page of Friday's Advertiser stating that Lindop was the first female to ride in Melbourne Cup when in fact she was only about the 6th and that was 15 years after the first.

My apologies on both counts as she was only the 3rd female jockey - that'll teach me for not googling - and after reading article again, I'm pretty sure he mean'g 'Australian jockey'
