Game 1: West Coast v Geelong
Quick. Geelong at $1.74 is the value of the week! Lynch out, the Cats are just about Selwood away from full strength and their brain fade last week against the Bombers was a rarity. Geez, I’m tempted to take them 40+. Cats not beaten by the Eagles in 5 years. POW! High scoring games these ones, heading for 180 + at least.
Game 2: Hawthorn v Brissy
Hawthorn were pounded by the Pies but should rebound against the Lions in Tassie. Brissy knocked them off here two years ago but I strongly doubt this will happen this week. Look for lower scoring match scores, the total match scores at Aurora in the last three have barely cracked 160. Hawthorn line should be safe. At least a seven goal win, surely. Will include in only a few multis tho.
Game 3: Gold Coast v Sydney
I’ll take Sydney’s six goal handicap. Up at Metricon, I get that, but Sydney have the big bodies and Nick Malceski back will carve up from the backline. The more I think about it, the more I start changing my mind. So I’ll end it there. Haha.
Game 4: Richmond v Essendon
Last week was one of those rare exceptions where punters lost big. Real big. Richmond are a better team than a 100-point drubbing, Essendon are a worse team than a win over Geelong. Always highest scoring encounters. Match score to be about 190 to 210 I reckon. I’m backing Richmond too but you also get a nice two goal head start, just in case….
Game 5: Collingwood v North Melbourne
The Pies are back and flying and take them at that line of 45 points. They should win by over eight goals, as they did earlier this year. Dane Swan 38 and 40 disposals in their last two encounters. Look to him for most disposal specials.
Game 6: Port Adelaide v St Kilda
The Saints bucked the bye hoodoo and came up with the goods against the Roos last week. Their earlier trip to Adelaide was unsuccessful, can Port repeat the dosage? All I can say is these AAMI stadium clashes tend to be low scoring affairs. Look for below 160 point scorelines. Can’t pick this one. Perhaps the Saints….
Game 7: Western Bulldogs v Carlton
High scoring game. The Blues at $1.32 is probably a nice way to finish off some multis. Can’t see the Doggies doing the deed here and I would say a win over four goals to the Blues is realistic. That line seems value to me.
Closest game of the round market is also interesting. Keep an eye on that one.

check the weather in the west first, i think they are in for some wet weather which may impact on the game total and margin

I honestly think cats win tonight by 4 or 5 goals.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
I'm very tempted to take cats -4.5

Johno, you would have watched the Eagles more times this year than I, but I reckon Lynch has been pretty good for you guys both as a forward target and back up ruckman when needed.
Big out??

if it was this time last year and the form he was in then, id prob be happy he was out
but he has been awesome for us this year.
has been good all around the ground.
i think we will be competitive for a half. but geelongs class will over power us in the last half.

i think the cats will go through the motions, another loss wont be a major concern - but it all depends how the cats try and play. anything like last sat night and they will get smashed.
at least Varcoe and Corey were already in WA on a holiday - no travel factor for them

it's very obvious you are talking it down, but you are also quietly confident the Eagles will get up. You sound exactly like me some weeks and just covering yourself in case they do lose and then you can say "told you so"

haha,....
not at all mate.
i think we lose by 30 or so, fellow eagles supporter at work thinks 60!
i think it will be similar to the pies game and prove we are not a top 4 side yet.
just gotta hope our younger guys dont get smashed tonight.
and are skills NEED to be on... not like last year........
