Man I stunk last year, will be trying incredibly hard to make this season a profitable one, will be changing a few things from last year.

Everything Ive read and heard leads me to believe Adelaide are going pretty hard at the NAB cup this year. Port arent healthy and its hard to get a line on the D's but I think the price on Adelaide to win the pool is pretty generous at Sportsbet (much shorter elsewhere)

Adelaide to win Pool
$70 @ $2.40

Adelaide to win NAB Cup
$25 @ $14.00

Mainly a fade on Collingwood who couldnt be fully wound up in early Feb, Carlton got a reasonable squad in and Ratten wont want to flirt with form this year IMO

Carlton win Pool
$40 @ $3.20

or for people who have the time to keep detailed ananlysis of each gama - how many other bets do you get to make after the matches are finished? all you need to do is add it all up

it would be good if you know what the umpires votes actually were. if you go by the paper etc you are only getting what their writers have seen.

FWIW I find the Brownlow the easiest money betting out of all.

Done is seriously the last two years and come out with 8000 2 years ago and a touch under 25k this year (posted in the brownlow thread on this forum with my bets).

Its great because the race has already been won, and you can totally write off some players from scoring major votes because of past bias (i.e Kane Cornes is always favourite for Port, but I don't think he's come close in the past 3 years). I think this year though, the Corporates/TAB will not allow multis..

from what i could gather early on richmond were lucky not to be blown out of the water and then at the last break they looked the winners then heading into the 5 min warning there was opportunity for carlton I thought to score.
