After seeing that win in the Cup yesterday I can't see anything beating the Japanese horse ADMIRE RAKTI in the Melbourne Cup.

Is the stablemate out for the carnival or was it only scratched for the yesterday's race?

Bande? It's still got odds up on Tatts and Betfair in the Cup.

Yeah that's the one. If their camp rates it slightly better than yesterday's winner it could provide some value/interest .. Could we have another Delta Blues and Pop Rock scenario on our hands again?

Scrap that, couldn't see it listed in the Sportsbet market so guessing it's either out or unlikely

The 3rd horse might have a different opinion.
Watch the race again if you can.

Those that tune into the Punters Club on a Saturday morning hit the trifecta in CC care of Mal James.
Box up the 4 he mentioned for a $900 divvy

Still loved the run of Lucia Valentina. Admire Rakti pushed Lucia wide on turn and lost a length.

few unlucky runners in the race

The winner did a superb job sitting out wide and staying out of trouble, nice ride

Araldo could be a roughy to look at for the Melbourne Cup @ $26, there was a lot that I liked about its run

Lucia - I think McEvoy needed to make his move earlier, it can run a place in the Cup, not sure it would run the winner down over 3200m, sat on the winners back all the way and couldn't run it down.

If the track is wet on Cup day it might.

I watched the race fairly closely. I was on Lucia and I thought it wasn't running Admire down significantly, however I hear that Admire has an extra half kilo and not for 40 years has a horse lumped that weight to victory.

I think Admire had a heap left in the tank. For mine Lucia got too far back and would need to be closer, although it will be at Flemington so the straight might work in its favour.

A week or so ago I backed Fawkner. Between the three, I hope to get the trifecta!
