Cmon Boys, starts tomorrow...
What we all thinking?

So so so many betting options available, it's crazy.

I might have a few interest bets...
$20 Marcus North @ 23 - Most Runs in Series (Don't rate the bloke but for a guy in top 6 seems overs)
$20 Graeme Swan @ 4 - Most Series Wickets
$20 Shane Watson @ 8.50 - Man of Series

And for 1st test
$10 Caught Behind First Dismissal @ 4.25
$50 Aussie Win @ 2.12 - Won 23 yrs in a row? Is that the stat i heard?

I like the Aussies to win but then lose the series.

If it rains for three quarters of the test as expected there is every possibilty it will be a draw.

The rain has been occasional in recent days and I would expect the same for the Test.
Not enough to have a major impact... but I could be wrong ;)

There have been a fair few showers last night at Brisbane and the showers are continuing today, dont be surprised to see very limited play today.

I've got 20 bucks on England to win the series 3-1 (@ 12's). I think overall they are better than we are. Certainly in bowling they seem to have a more consistent attack - and a much better spinner. In batting, our top order is brittle at the moment, so I expect them to attack us mentally and win the series quite comfortably.

I can't help but think we will win easily.... I know they reckon the Poms are better than they have been, but so they were supposed to be last time out here.

They were also meant to flog us in England last time, and only just beat us.... I think the bouncy decks out here, and coupled with limited swing for their bowlers means the Aussies will have the upper hand....

draw is a bit short and there are generally results here in adelaide

although i do agree both sides bowling isnt the strongest

my main investment has been on the series with england -double chance before the first test and just went back took the $1.61 for that bet on betfair

Yes there was 7 straight results at Adelaide oval this millenuin
The great bowling attack won us a few games late or on the 5th day
Gillespie/Clark/Lee/Mcgrath/Warne were the curators get out of jail free contingent
Since all those guys have all retired, we have had 2 draws and a win in the next 3 years

Dont kid yourself about it being a result pitch
If Burdett had the current Australian attack bowling on the same decks in those 7 result tests, I think the draw would have got up nearly every test

A few player performance bets (1pt per run, 10pts per catch, 20 pts per wicket and for keepers 25pts per stumping) that stand out for me:

- Marcus North over 64.5 @ 1.87 (scored a ton here a month ago and will be required to bowl a few overs)
- Michael Hussey over 73.5 @ 1.90 (in good nick and averages 95 at Adelaide Oval plus a chance for a catch or 2)
- Paul Collingwood over 74.5 @ 1.90 (also in good touch and got a big one here 4 years ago - always a chance to pick up a cheap wicket too)
- Peter Siddle under 89.5 @ 1.90 (struggles on flat decks as highlighted in the second dig at the GABBA - match figures of 1/120 here last year)
