Total profit for the 13 winners $5-90

However http://www.crowsbet bet best TAB odds for some of the bets
Betfair odds were greater as well
The $18-90 returns are about $22 + betting at the odds Ive seen or gotten
For LM13 I got odds of between $1-44 and $1-60

I would have to sift thru the pre 2009 LATE MALS to get the overall profits
The pre 2008 made a profit, but not sure how much

I am however a fervent critic of people taking short odds when betting
You simply cannot make $$$$ in the long run, and even if you do win the profits are miniMAL
But I am defying my own logic by showing profits for the 5 years the LATE MALs have been tipped

yeah i thought on handicaps it was close to a moral however i went to the footy today not intending to have a bet but witnessed the body language of the glenelg players & thought it was a lot better than last week so all my winnings from last night went to curly seal today

That is a shocking return for a great strike rate
Im sure there wuz a few $1-30 + winners , so about $7 profit would be closer per dollar invested

I have to agree with you Mal, low odds = likely loss in the long run.

But geez, that is a fair effort. People might have a crack about "any mug can pick a short odds winner", I wonder how many of them would hit a 37/40 strike rate!

like Pottsy im sure all the people who have a crack couldnt hit your strike rate.

i always see these and think '5hit i should wack a grand on it' but then the gut starts to churn and i think knowing my luck this would be one of the three you have missed, so never get on.

I strongly stress this about taking long odds on
If youir norMAL bet is $20 per race, then put your $20 on a LATE MAL tip

Too often at $1-30 odds punters put too much on
Some punters who have $20 on $2-50 favs win $30
When they see $1-30 they dont want to win $6, they want to have $100 on to win $30
