Just quietly, how good is this years cup shaping.......
Efficient & Viewed absolutely flying... Right now i'd be leaning towards Efficient, his Turnbull win was scintilating....
Alcopop creates a local interest in the Cup, i had a bit on him at $251 fixed odds with Sportingbet so i'm liking the $7.00 on offer now...
Vigor could be the knockout chance for mine - Turnbull run was a touch unlucky in the straight, and his Cau lfield Cup run was excellent, worked hard from a wide gate and stuck on gamely for third.... If he has another run left in him i wouldn't be surprised to see him run a big race... at $21 he is great value if he can run the trip
C'est La Guerre - Caulfield Cup was average, before that his Turnbull run was full of merit... If you can forgive the Cup run then he has a big shot also.... Meets Viewed a lot better off in the weights than last year...
Master O - Runs this time in have been encouraging, just fear he's forgotten how to win... A lot of 4-8th placings..

Thoughts on the COX PLATE gents???
If we can get a touch of rain, VISION & POWER will be my tip.
Black Piranha's last run was a great Cox Plate trial, will benefit from some sting out of the ground also.
Both about $15.00

Maestro of Murano any chance in tomorrows Geelong Cup? $26.00
$301 for the Melb Cup, i've had a few $$ E/W just in case it slips into the field.

Seeing a few similarities between the 2002 winner Media Puzzle and Crime Scene, who is running first up in tomorrow's Geelong Cup from England. At $61 for the Melb Cup at present, with Kerrin McEvoy riding tomorrow. Last run in England a slight concern though.
Similar story with Basaltico, who is also first up from England in the Geelong Cup tomorrow, and is trained by Luica Cumani. $34 currently for the Melb Cup, and has Damien Oliver aboard tomorrow. First up record very good, although had its last run on September 3.

I thought Whobegotu looked to be stopping fairly quickly over the 2000m last start, reckon the extra 400m and the pressure of such a race might be too much??

heart of dreams - was taking ground off whobe last start after getting to far back, bet whobe the time before that and in 4 races aginst each other they are 2-2 so the price difference between the 2 of them is to big to ignore

I'll be potting the two favourites in a trifecta. Probably box these 5.
1. Vision & Power
2. Black Piranha
3. El Segundo
4. Zipping
5. So You Think
