Number 3 on unitab was $1.0 the win.... 1 was at $75, 2 at $40 all the rest were between $140 and $430....

Just wish I had seen the unitab odds earlier so I could've got on with my sportingbet profits from today...

Back No 2 Rocks Back, 2 mins b4 the race and it was favourite and favourite all round the country. Race finishes and shows $44.00 for the win unitab. With $53000 dollars in the win pool, No 3 comes into 1.00 favourite.

Has someone loaded up on the 3 or is this an error

Looks like we have two of the same thread...

Bloody crazy.... it means that someone has absolutely smashed the 3 on unitab to get the odds right down so the odds on the others blow out, then I would imagine smashed the 2 on one of the other sites, like sportingbet or sportsbet which doesn't affect the unitab pools to make plenty of money.... No doubt there will be an investigation.....

Something similar happened to Awesome Ryles not long ago....

Yeah my account would have had $0.00 in it but Mciver managed to sneak and 3 way tie for JC at Eagle Farm and now this, how things can turn.

the local bookies don't have a licence to cover these meetings at night bar for friday nights when there is a local meeting on, so they didn't get stung......it is the corporates own fault betting tab odds which enables this too happen with sMALl pools.....they haven't done anything wrong with this & the dog still had to win

Corporates with any brains are putting limits on what you can win...
I think most are set between $15 - $30k on a non-metro race...

I agree Bayman, if they don't have limits, and allow this to happen..

OK lets have a look at it.... all other races at that meetings had win pools of $6 - $10k..... this race had $53k.

I am suggesting they have put this amount of around $45k on the 3 dog to ensure it starts $1 and the other dogs are highly inflated..... and backed the rest but probably had a stack on the even money fav #2 with the corporates.

I bet they had some nervous moments with the 3 running second?????

Well done to them and its about time the corporate bookmakers woke up to themselves that with these small pools this can and will continue to happen.

Tri didnt pay much for a $44 winner and $250 chance running third Tri .....$121

Would solve a fair bit of this kind of stuff I reckon, as every race will have bigger pools so more cash would be required to pull a stunt like this, and would also be much harder...

Yes that Gawler race for Awesome Ryles. They were wondering what happened that day for a short while.

Although there are worse cases that stealing money from the bookies. Like the alledged happenings at one club with the lure driver having a bet, and running the race accordingly.
