multi's

i'm what ya would call a "small time gambler" (only put $50 in my account every 2 or 3 weeks), mainly on AFL and love a multi.

was just wondering if anyone has some advice on how to bulk up a multi.

the first few i tried, i was doing 4 or 5 afl bets, then chucking in some outrageous favourites in tennis/netball, but one of them tends to screw me over! (for instance, rafa losing to soderling i had in a 10 bet multi, he was the only one i got wrong, and cost me over $60!!!)

any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

cheers punters

invest a small % on multis but make sure you invest on your multi selections individually

mt79, sorry if i sound dumb, but what would be the difference if i invested in my multis individully?

you mean, (taking in my 10 bet multi in mind) if i had 9 of my 10 bets invested in, and only lost out on rafa losing to soderling, i would still end up even/in front?

Think they're OK if you look for a bit of value and bet small

One I've put $5 down for this week in round 15 of AFL is:

Geelong to beat Brisbane
St Kilda to beat West Coast by 30 points or more
Carlton to beat Richmond
Total game score of Essendon V Sydney to be 186 points or less
Total game score of Port V Melbourne to be 197 points or more.

This is paying $65.50 for the $5 outlay.

thats the idea

you have 5 teams

invest say $40 on each selection and invest say $5 or $10 on the multi

you should end up in front provided your selections arent too short and that they actually win!

if you're keen on multis on centrebet and im sure others do it you can have one selection as a banker - so it has to win to keep your multi alive

or boxed multis

you have 4 selections you want to multi up

you can have doubles/trebles/quaddies and choose how much you want to invest on each one

exactly MT

TBB- you picked 9 out of 10 winners in you multo which is a sensational effort but what was the end result - you lost $$$

When you a re good enough to pick 9 out of 10 winners you should be well in profit, back them individually and you will be miles ahead.

Hitting a nice priced multi is good fun but think about how many losers you have had to get the winner
