My in the finish bets

R2-8 AMARILLO BLUE [Baymans best as well]
R4-8 CLARENDON SUPREME

BETFAIR LAYS [158 ?]
R1-1
r3-6
r5-1
r6-6

These 4 cant win, and very unlikely to be placed
But some people will back these horses on the TAB

I noticed that prizemoney for tonights meeting (Pirie) is a little higher than normal, minimum if $2500.00. Is that now the norm for Friday Nights or is it a one off? Good for the industry if the prizemoney has been lifted. The fields also look a little bigger, with 8 races and only one that has NTD which is different for the Pirie club.Usually they have at least 2 or 3 race with NTD.

I believe all races are + $$$$$$$$$$$$$
Thats good news for the owners trainers
BUT
Will it attract more Interstate raiders ?
The prizemonies are up, but the ability of the local horses stays the same
THOUGH
It might mean we keep some of our better horses here, too many win thru the grades and piss off to WA/VIC to continue thier careers, URAJOKIN/BAD BOY NITRO who were brilliant consistent pacers were lost to SA trotting, as were a few other gooduns.

Same applies to some of our best ever drivers
JUSTICE/WEBSTER are 2 champion drivers who left SA for $$$$$ reasons[ ?]
What would happen to our driving stocks if Hollywood Harding and Danni Hill left SA

Mal the reason the better horses leave is for the Metro prizemoney(15K+) races. Will still don't have them and unlikey to in the near future. Those horses will still leave bcos they go interstate to race in Mo races.
But having a increase across all races is a great boost for the sport. The New boss could be the saviour of the sport.

Use your discretion bird
They are gunna be in the finish
If we get $3-50 to $5 back em EW
If they are $1-50 use them as bankers in Quins/Exactas/Any2s/tris/p4s

rating trots:

M = Metropolitan grade (A grade racing) - the number beside the M represents the Class of M the horse is in relation to how many M races the horse as won. but not neccessarily Mares. they are sometimes handicapped.
C = country grade (B grade racing) - number beside the C is counted as explained above.
R = restricted grade (C grade racing)
TR= Trot restricted
TO= Trot open
2RO,3R0,2M0,3M0 etc. = grading as above but as a 2 and 3 yr old.

Good examples but What about Fifty Gorrillas. that thing has grown another heart and 2 more legs since going interstate. I rembember it getting beatin at Pt Pirie by ordinary horses. Now the thing runs a regular 1.55.0

ps. No need to spoon feed centreman MAL because if he cant work out your basic rules dont worry about him. Centreman prefers getting mail on "smash" quaddies and trebs ;) ;)
