AAPT-UNITAB-and oh whatta night late in June in 09

That meant I could not place bets on my TAB accounts as was off line
I tried rebooting but to noah avail
No online
I had 65 seconds left to place a bet
I frantically rang up Unitab
I got thru 45 seconds to go
I get a recorded message
No operators after 9-00 oclock
Transferring to Voice bet
30 seconds b4 they jump
A computerised voice asks for my account number, 20 seconds to go
Then asks for my code 15 seconds to go
The code is wrong please repeat 10 seconds to go
I repeat the code 5 seconds to go
Your first bet AND THIER OFF
It wins and Im not on grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

went thru a 3,765,472 step process
then waited about 30 minutes for an operator
SA users of AAPT were off line
Ring back Monday if not online

good news - bad news
Good news when you bet thru the Automated Voice bet system you recieve a rebated commision on the bet
It vares from between .07% to 1% [???] depending on the days
Invest a $100 get $0-70c to $1-00 rebate
Very good , pays for the phone call
You get this in reward points to be used a couple of times a year
Bad news Unitab , very very very poor performance to expect ALL punters to place bets with a computerised operator after 9-00
Fortunately I knew how to place my bets, but still missed out
BUT'there would be others who would not know how to pllace bets
Surely Scabtab can employ operators until about 11-00 when domestic racing would finish
The computerised voice operator takes twice as long to place a bet as a authentic operator
Unitab needs to lift thier game
Corporate internet Bookies/Betfair are the competition out there
