Betfair again show why they are the punters best friend!

You can now BACK/LAY in the run on Group races, starting tomorrow -

Should be good fun!

time to upgrade the computer......

this form of punting is very popular in the UK..... generally over the longer trips and hurdles.... which they race a lot more over there.....

not sure how it will go over the sprint trips!!!!

Got to query the punters best friend quote Dutchy.
Doesn't 1 punter win and 1 looses when every dollar is matched. I've only ever heard of people winning on Bfair But someone has to loose!!!!!!!
Be great thing for racing when with the corp bookies they contribute to the racing codes instead off all take.

yep for every winner there is a loser, but the $$ stay with the punters not greedy bookies give sh1t odds!

They put plenty of $ into Tassie racing and have agreements with other racing associations and the AFL

Its very interesting watching the markets during a UK race, thye even leave betting open when there is a photo and you can bet on the result of the photo!

There is a difference Dutchy
BETFAIR = PUNTER V PUNTER
BOOKIES WOULD BE BOOKIE V PUNTER
So basically if a clued up punter cleaned up on BETFAIR it wont bother BETFAIR[they get the commissions]
A BOOKIE cant be expected to compete as he is managing his staff and could easliy be distracted at the start of races and make errors

BUT
The BETFAIR is revolutionising gambling and its up to the TABS/BOOKIES/SP BOOKIES to evolve

If a Bookie is distracted because he has to wet nurse his staff, then it might be time to upgrade his crew.
- Take note Curly
