Adelaide Cup

Postby Mulligain » Fri Mar 07, 2008 12:17 pm

What's everyones thoughts on the Adelaide Cup??

My cousin knows the owner of Tails of Triomphe, we back it each time it runs and it's won some quality races at Flemington.

It's paying $23 at this stage...definitely worth a few each way.

i've actually done some homework & have spent $63.00 on a 50c unit quaddie

2/2,3,4,5,6,8,12/2,3,5,6,7,8,9,10,17/8,9

i've also had a chat with jimmy smith (his brother is a trotting trainer george) who trains the favourite in the cup & he said 'it is as close as a good thing you can get in a 2 mile race' i said 'will it miss a place' & jim said 'no it wont miss a place'

I know nothing about horse races
I am an amatuer and spent 5 minutes studying the race
my tip but not to be followed

R7-9 ROAD TO ATHENS
Omen tip
Most Greeks cum from behind and so does this nag
Barrier 23 may not be to big a disadvantage

Once again I reiterate my selection must not be taken seriously

The worse thing about Adelaide Cups is that they replace the Moneyday trots
Its a public holiday for most people
and a day off punting for me as well

Yes I do !

Its a good thing the Cup is on at 4-30pm
That gives people enough time time to
watch the race
collect thier winnings
say goodbye to cohorts
hail a taxi
go home
get changed form thier suits strides and shiny shoes
put on shorts tee shirt and thongs
and get to the cab to Angle Park for the first race at 6.07 pm
