They reckon simmons pulled out after the first race. He called in sick between the first and second races. I am not done. I'm going to call the rockhampton racecourse and get it confirmed... That's just crap!

If Simmons did not have a ride it previously was a refund on him only...... but ......recently they have been refundeing all bets until that point and then they redo a market that stands after that point.
Interesting one that needs clarification. Do other agencies do it different? we need to know what all agencies do and what their refund rules are....
we should send an email to each agency and get it in writing what the rules are. can someone organize?

No i didn't mate, but i had 3 doubles with angland with jockeys in rocky so i was hoping to get collects from them on angland!! If it was with sportingbet i would!! So more hope than anything.

I reckon johno backed simmons so will be interesting to see if he gets his money back but by the way they explained it to me i don't think he will!!

The first person i spoke to agreed with what i said and said she assumed it will go onto the other leg of my multi, but then she went and checked with a supervisor and they said no because he pulled out after race 1-the only way it would be a refund is if he was still in the market after he withdrew which is why i want to contact the rocky course and find out exactly when he withdrew...

I'll fire these emails off this morning. List of agencies-can people post any others up.
Sportingbet
Sportsbet.com.au
Tab sportsbet
Unitab (tattsbet)
Centrebet
Iasbet
Betezy

I think that is the main ones i use-if people can list others and i'll fire around emails and post the replies

I guess this is part of getting value for money-if one agency has better rules than another it may be worth using them if prices are the same or very close...

thanks mr willy.

this needs clarification. do they refuns all bets? do they refund just the one who has pulled out?

I cannot beleive they are saying because he 'rang' after race 1 then he is calssed as a 'runner'. I was under the impression you had to have 1 ride.
I will ask AG

I guess the other thing with the TAB, are JC's considered "all in betting". Then there would be no refunds.

Have sent the following email to the above agencies:

Hi,

I have a quick query regarding your Jockey Challenge rules.

Yesterday there was a situation where a jockey pulled out of the day’s races after the Jockey Challenge market was put up. Punters would have placed bets based on the fact that the jockey would ride (D Simmons in Rockhampton).

I would just like to know what your policy is in regards to best placed on the jockey challenge market when a jockey withdraws from all of his rides – D Simmons did not even make it to the track yesterday.

I know some bookies consider this a non starter and ALL jockey challenge bets are refunded and a new market created without the withdrawn jockey in there and bets are required to be placed again on the new market.
