Thanks GUYS but next time make sure you introduce yourselves would be great to put a face to the names.

Cheers for the great pic to.

I didnt expect to much last night as with the new born baby in the house as well as myself having minor surgery to my knee during the week i couldnt work Blade at all since his race on Tuesday so he went into the race a tad fresh.

Yes he was down about 400grams from Tuesdays race but still needs to drop between 500-700 more grams to be at his best weight.

Got up close to the bunny girls upstairs with the sponsors and Commitee and your right 1 was a bit butterfaced. The other one was quite allright.

Was a great night actually BUT the one thing that alot of people complained about was the damn noise inside the shed. The band just echoed through the place and made it nearly impossible to talk to anyone without shouting. If there is going to be a band they need to be far away from the shed as possible.

Or @ least a decent band

Great afternoon though, really enjoyed my first night out @ Gawler track.

Had good yarns with trainers Fiebig, (who's dog SHOULD have won the Country Cup but was ran down incredibly by Tickets Please) and Norma Millington (trains Ronellie Rocka, fifth in Country Cup Final, Rock on Ron, ran third in race 10 and Hot Bee Bee, which ran third in Race 9.)

Couldn't work out which one you were Geoff, I think I saw you parading Awesome Ryles around but some chick brought him back. Haha

I'd say Blade is the dogs normal name... and Awesome Ryles is its running name :)

:D Yeah i do slip up sometimes hey
A friend of mine who was going to have a share in him gave him his kennel name but then never came up with the cash so he kept his kennel name and we kept the dog.

Blade and his brother Hercules we bought at 8 months of age and they already were kennel named Brad (as in Brad Pitt) and George (as in George Clooney) so we had to rename them as i didnt like those names. The breeders wife gave them the original kennel names as she thought they were the 2 best looking pups they had ever bred 8)

Was even more impressed with his run as he must of been in pain the whole way. He ripped off most of his rear inside toe nail exiting the boxes. Was covered in blood by the time he got into the catching pen. He needs a week or so off now as it is still extremely tender and i would rather lose a week or so now than a month down the track all for the sake of 1 race. Must look at the bigger picture and I refuse to run a dog with even a hint of soreness.

if the 6 can lead clearly and spread the field out then theres no reason why Awesome Ryles cant run into the placings

Hmm, you're getting some great box draws but the improvement has been steady after good results from 7 and 5.

Can he win this one Geoff?

This race is very winnable he just needs an ounce of luck on first turn and if close enough will pounce all over these ;)

We were getting him back to be ready for the 600-643m races which is what he needs BUT with not enough noms to run a 643m race he has been put in a 531m race. So we stepped back his training to suit the 531m distance and not have him flat for this race. His 2 trials in the last week have both been P.Bs for him so he is certainly ready to fire.
