Will lead and dictate the pace on the rails on the right circuit.

Will get the trip.
Will handle the firm track.
Will settle back and storm home.

Looked a big chance on the turn.

McEvoy clearly loves riding for the 'old' Boss - he's riding very well this Spring, the best he's ridden IMHO, since he 1st returned home from the UK.
Was a great 'front running' ride - rated the horse to perfection because when his mount was challenged, it found the effort to hang on & win.
Also, the 3rd horse finished very well - me thinks Godolphin will have a BIG say in the outcome of this year's Melbourne Cup, don't you think?

Not sure he'll get it all his own way in front, too. I think Holler & Rebel Dane might make him work early - if he's to be in the finish, then Browne will need to 'gather him in' for 200 - 300m mid-race, & not sure that's too likely. Agree he's worth a PLACE ticket at the Price & he can win if its a Soft 7 or worse.
I like Fell Swoop at the Odds - $18 Powered with Sportsbet.
I can see him getting a nice run off the speed, one out behind Holler & Rebel Dane, he's got the finish to be right in this & he might have enough 'start' on Chautauqua to hang on & win. As I said, Chautauqua is not suited by his drawn gate - he's going to need luck to get a run through or he's going to have to come 'the long way home' by circling the field - I'm happy to risk him at the short quote.
I think the 3 yr old Colt Capitalist can win the race & he'll get a great run from his barrier - can see him sitting 1 by 1 the journey. I think he'll look the winner at some stage down the straight.
Backing Fell Swoop 2 x 5 units & Capitalist the win for 5 Units.
Having Exacta: 8, 11 / 2 for 3 Units
Trifecta: 8, 11 / 1, 2, 3, 8, 11 / Field (35%) = $25.20
Pick 4: 8, 11 / 1, 2, 3, 8, 11 / Field / Field (4%) = $24.05
