Escape the Rain running today at Geelong Race 6.
They are going to ride her back in the field again, and hope she hits the line well. so I don't like her chances as every other time she has been ridden back she has sucked.
Weir expects she will be at her peak next start or 2.

Nicco is in race 8 at Strath but has drawn barrier 17. We were hoping for a dry track and a barrier somewhere inside 10 but to no avail.

Jack Hill said the run yesterday should firm her right up and next start if she goes to 1500-1600m she will go very close as she felt like a mile horse and the 1300m is too sharp for her.
Also reckons get her off the synthetic and back onto turf as she travels just ok on it, but when you ask her to go she bounces off it a bit.
The next 2-3 starts will show us if she is worth persisting with.

Took the 60/1 testy
And like Jack said when he asked for a bit it just didn't wind up quick enough

Hit the line really well, drawing that gate over 1200 at Strath makes it near impossible.

I tend to agree but some of my syndicate owners don't. I think they thought because she had the better part of the track she should've got closer. I liked the run but agree, she was never a chance from there.

YANKEE ROSE will carry only 47.5kg in the Cox Plate and trainer David Vandyke has come out and said that he wants a jockey to ride it who can make the weight fairly comfortably and not have to waste - the thing about that is that it could bring a few female jockeys into play and some lesser lights who would normally not dream of getting an opportunity like this.
Is the second favourite for this race Imho and at $21 for the win is a fantastic bet - even this far out

I didn't think there would be any jockeys who could ride at that weight

Rosie Myers from NZ currently riding at 49kg, recently won the Brisbane Cup and ran 3rd in the Stradbroke.
Matthew Poon weighing in at 48kg. But unlikely to be given a ride in a Cox Plate.
Oversees jockey?

I wouldn't be giving Poon a ride in the Cox Plate.....
But there possibly are overseas jocks who can get down to that weight.

Still think it needs 1200m to 1400m or so but has two second placings over the 1000m.

Two second placings first up too. Maybe a good exotic selection...

Jake Noonan on board now. Everyone's having a ride!

Times are ordinary.
Consistent money deficit if you keep backing it.
Good luck.

Vr 5 No 8 tmrw.
Little Indian out to 1400m.
Rove it in the pick four and it will run 5th.
CAT.
