Forgive my stupidity but when a trotter is leading by a king brown, what is he leading by?

I’d dare say that’s a “long neck”.

Yep, I reckon you’re on the money, cheers.

I wonder what an echo is referred to?

That pacer was named Burton- an amazing acrobatic effort by the driver
The Burton name is famous

Richard Burton the famous actor
Hilarie Burton an actress and a smashing sort

And perhaps the most famous Burton of all
Go to 3:50 on this video for that Burton

Nice drive by Gaita on the hot pot fave Like a Wildfire on Friday night in a heat of the SA Cup
She miss counted the laps and started to pull the fave up with a lap still to go
By the time she realised her mistake it was too late to regain momentum, surrendering the lead and the end of its chances qualifying for the Cup.
What a monumental stuff up. Been a long time since i've seen it happen . Surely a suspension in order ?

You'd hope there's some.of sort of Stewards enquiry.
Can't see a stewards report from that meeting yet

Very uninspiring SA Cup last night at Globe with the winner crawling along out in front and then hanging onto score narrowly.
As a spectacle it's a far cry from the glory days back in the 80s when the likes of Gammalite graced the track and later Whirley Dream finding the front from the outside gate and hanging on for a home town victory at the crazy odds of 20/1 :D :D Great memories

Any one there to report on what sort of crowd they get there these days on a Cup night ?

For all the negativity about our harness racing the numbers going around the past few months has been very encouraging and the quality has been pretty good. Heaps of trotting horses
