Went fishing with a guy last week who was from Perth. He said he ran into a guy over there who swore by always backing the top weight (i.e. the 1) in the first race at each Perth meeting.... Have been watching it since he said it and so far its two winners and a second (at 3.40 the place) from 4 races...

Going to have a crack at Race 1 number 1 today...

i like going race 1 number 1 at most meets etc wether dogs trots etc, got me a $30 winner in happy valley last night.

another mate goes race 5 number 5 always. i dont mind that one to, but only on dogs

For some reason I always take 1,2,5 in a boxed quinella on the first race at Perth metro meetings, have done for years and it seems to go ok

Yeah have seen that work Johno... Nice winner last night.

Remember my first trip to Wentworth Park in Sydney a mate told me to hammer the 1 in the first race and I was all keen to do it but forgot and of course it got up... at $8!!!! :evil:
