Dear, oh dear.
A timely reminder that we must take the value on JC's.
Favourite's invariably lose, and short odds cannot be taken. Too many variables.
Big wake up call, and a lot of ground to make up  Ouch.
Can always say Price might have rode them better, or had a better feel on the horses, but in all honesty not sure he would have won even he he kept all his rides - Even though most of his rides placed and he might have been able to get more out of them that the riders who took over, it was silly.

Need to find V for Value, not taking odds under $5.

Good luck

Saved a little bit of face by loading up on Que For Quality.
Got $8.00 fixed 10 mins before race, and had that deducted to $7.30 something after the late scratching.
Thank F**k for that. Still a dirty day, and a timely reminder that the JC is all about V for Value.

Sorrow drowning quite likely tonight!  ;)

just withdrew $945 from centrebet account (should have been half that) to moneybookers which will go thru overnight from their UK operations, if I withdraw to my bank account that wont happen until tomorrow during the day from their aussie HQ and they may have picked it up their mistake by then....if they close my account Ill just have to open one in the wifes name!

Be interesting how this plays out, pity its not the TAB and I could just cash it and run

I would be interested to know if anyone keeps track of the odds range that win the JC based on TAB divi's.

Creating a rule based on selective memory is never a profitable way to punt. Evidence is important. Value could be $3.50. Depends how you analyse it.

Keep up the good work. As like many, I find it interesting reading.

Thats a pretty fair and interesting call mate, I might start trying to keep some records (although I only bet with Sportsbet, so it would be limited)

Plan of attack at Seymour:

$40 Brereton @ $21.00 Sportingbet
Wait til after R2 to get on Knobel at big odds (Hope his ride in the first misses, should get $50ish)
Wait til after R1 to get on Melham at hopefully better than $7.00
