Did it pull up alright, bowditch seemed to have a big look at its rear at the 200?

Yeah she got her tongue over the bit and he stopped riding her, gone out for a spell, needs to mature a bit more but the camp are confident she will be a good racehorse.

Not sure if anyone saw Savvy's run today, was jsut getting momentum up and got blocked for a run, Stubbie said he would have won and I agree.....grrrr this game can be frustrating!

Can't believe we've lost such a young person, particularly one who's profession I rate as about the most courageous there is (certainly in the sporting world).

Fantastic young jockey, and seriously saddened by his far too premature demise :(

The following 'System' has been put on here before, for finding the winner of the Golden Slipper.
It comes from 'The Optimist' via Practical Punting Magazine, from a number of years ago.

I post it here tonight, for those thinking of betting 'away' from the fav tomorrow.

1. Eliminate any horse that has never started by March 11th
2. Eliminate any horse that has not run @ Rosehill
3. Eliminate any horse drawn outside barrier 10
4. Eliminate any horse that has finished further back than 4th at any start
5. Eliminate any visiting rider who is not well up his premiership table
6. Eliminate any horse that has not won, one of its most recent 3 starts
7. Eliminate any horse with a win strike % below 33%, unless the horse has a win/place figure of 25/100

In tomorrow's field, which I might add Dominic Berne says is a very weakly rated Golden Slipper (he said that take out Earthquake & this is THE weakest Golden Slipper he has seen), the above system provides 3 Horses: Law, Alpha Miss & Bring Me the Maid.

If you consider Law will most probably be in the lead 3, $151 is a huge price & might be worth a small ticket Eachway.
I am hoping for a little more rain because I think that a SLOW 6 or 7 Track will aid Alpha Miss & having backed her before the barrier draw @ $34, I am getting better than the $26 on offer @ the moment.
Bring Me the Maid has Moody as the trainer - no more needs said really.

Really like Strawberry Boy in the Doncaster Prelude too.

Anyone have a 'value bet' for Morphettville tomorrow?
Mick Sharkie said El Mina in Race 3 but small field & skinny price is worrying.
