Days with more meetings seem to present errors.
Today, unfortunately not enough meetings to distract them.

I guess there's more scope for errors as there's more meetings but I had a really close look on Saturday and while I found two value winners (Richards at Albury and Sheargold at Townsville) I felt like they were onto things a whole lot quicker than the midweek/Sunday markets.

Yesterday, the price around Pike lingered with several bookies for more than an hour. Neds appear to be the most reactive in my opinion. If I had to rank them for being prone to error:

1) PB
2) Boombet/SB
3) TabTouch
4) TopSport
5) Neds

I don't have an account with Ladbrokes so can't comment on their errors etc

Also a lesson I learned on Saturday:

Some of you may remember a recent meeting in remote Qld (Mt Isa) where Landan Sykes was a short favourite but withdrew from the meeting.

I thought I'd be cheeky and put $20 on him to ride 0 winners at $5.15 with TABTouch knowing full well he wasn't riding.

TABTouch clearly says a rider must complete at least one ride for bets to stand but they paid on that bet and I withdrew the money.

On Saturday I loaded my account up and noticed it was -$95. They'd realised their error and corrected it.

Lucky for me I'd used that funding to win more money anyway but just be very careful withdrawing mistakenly awarded wins.

I reckon Sportsbet also do this from time to time.

Morning all. Not much to report just yet but Billy Egan has picked up a ride in R4 at Benalla and shortens from $3 to $2.50. Thomas Stockdale has picked up the fave in R1 and has the fave in R7 plus an EW shot in R2.

I think the price around Egan is about right given his recent strike rate at Benalla is superior to most of his rivals today and 6-8 points seems to be pretty achievable considering.

PB hasn't reacted to the Stockdale pickup in R1 (I think), with the Egan-Stockdale Quinella paying $8.75 on TopSport and $16 on PB. The differential is about the same for the exacta too.

So had two small nibbles at those.

One factor that concerns me is the price around Eddy Street, one of Egan's key scoring chances.

If it's anywhere near its best, it's a good chance but this horse has overraced itself into oblivion in both recent starts under B Rawiller - so tread carefully around Egan outright at this point.

Can someone tell Jarrod Fry to get the **** out of it? He has scored 9 pts from 4 rides (all for the same trainer too) and while Egan is still in the game, he's got two points to make up.

Rockhampton - J Stanley will be very short ($1.30-ish).
Grafton - Expecting McGuren will be also sub $2.
Swan Hill - Currie solid favourite and McDougall holds a strong hand too.

We should start a Fight Club type operation where we study a race meet, identify the short Jockey Challenge favourite, then have a hospitality worker administer a mild contaminant to their food. Poor JMac will be taking a hell of a lot of Imodium throughout the year.
