OnSong wrote:Collingwood v St Kilda: Previous encounters between these two sides point to a good contest, and statistically, they're very similar across a number of key areas. Cloke to be the game breaker. I like the Pies 1-39 @ $2.30 but +15.5 @ $1.62 is also an option. Not certain on it. Leave out if in doubt. Left out but on the money with both.

Essendon v GWS: You're getting not a whole lot of value anywhere with this. Usually with these thumping lines, the underdog can step up and take the bikkies. The GWS - 90.5 points line @ $1.92 looks tempting but couldn't do it with any confidence after what the Bombers did to Melbourne. Left out but on the money.

North Melbourne v Port Adelaide: Pick your draw for the first five rounds - Melb, GWS, Adel, GC, WC or Coll, Geel, Syd, Bris, Haw? Port have improved but North so hard done by. They also have a solid contested possession rate to date and if it is wet at Tasmania, this would be more than handy. Tall defender out for Port, no head coach in place, I like the Roos by 15.5+ @ $1.82. Unlucky with the late Port resurgence.

Adelaide v North Melboune: Expect Adelaide to put up a bit of a fight here but the Hawks should get the job done. Perhaps the Crows lowest score of the round is a chance with no Tex? Mind you, the forward line functioned well against Carlton without him. Hawks 15.5+ @ $1.62. Crows put up a fight. Was impressed.

Gold Coast v Fremantle: Can't believe what I saw reading the stats but GC lead in many departments, I50s, scoring shots, contested possessions, marks I50, total disposals, disposals per goal......Bennell tore Freo one at Metricon last year. Fyfe out, Pav out, Hill out, everything is pointing to an upset. GC +13.5 @ $1.92. GC disappointing at home

Richmond v Geelong: Richmond are 1 from the last 10 v Geelong, six of those at Simmonds though. Can't back them as they often shoot themselves in the foot and Jack Riewoldt's efforts v quality opposition in McPharlin last week were piss poor. Lonergan could probably do a similar number on him, failing that, Harry Taylor. Milestone match for Johnson and Enright. Geel 15.5+ @ $1.82 Did it easy.

Sydney v Brisbane: Not a lot of value about really. Sydney have juuuuuust been clearing the 40+ line in recent encounters, so I can't take that with confidence. Leaving out. Forced bet: Syd 15.5+ @ $1.22. Did it easy.

Carlton v Melbourne: Carlton 40+ @ $1.24 looks too easy. Did it easy.

West Coast v Western Bulldogs: There is some doubt in my mind here after the Bullies improved against Geelong last week, which I rate higher than the Eagles. Naitinui back now though, watch WC turn it around. WC -27.5 @ $1.20. Did it easy.

6 from 9. Not too bad going but not good enough in multi world really. My worst week so far.

Geelong v Essendon: Four of the last five games have been won by Geelong in convincing style and Essendon's side looks a little unsettled by the number of changes this week. Stanton out means Jobe won't have much help in the midfield and when the Cats beat the Dons, they tend to do it well. $1.67 is pretty decent value, while 15.5+ @ $2.30 looks good too. I'll play it safe and take Geelong straight out.

Port Adelaide v Richmond: Can't really see a clear winner here with both sides sharing their fair share of choppy form in past contests. Port's midfield looks the stronger with Cotchin out but Foley has enjoyed free rein against the Power of old. Jack Riewoldt has also been a solid contributor of goals in recent matches. Power have a bit more of an X-factor, so that $1.50 is probably the smart money. Staying out though.

Brisbane v West Coast: The Lions have terrible conversion, marks inside 50 and contested marking stats, making me think the Eagles, mainly through Cox and Naitinui, will get this done in a canter, despite it being at the Gabba. WC 15.5+ @ $1.62

Western Bulldogs v Kangaroos: Well, call me foolish but I reckon the Bulldogs can get within eight goals of the Kangaroos at Etihad. Analysis said the Kangaroo forward line will function far better than the Bulldogs but to hell with analysis. WB +39.5 @ $1.92.

Hawthorn v Sydney: Gee this one is close. An out of form Buddy Franklin probably lends itself to a Swans win but the champ can't stay down forever, even with Teddy staring him down at CHB. Sydney probably have a better ruck division but Hawthorn's forward line looks more potent. Going with the Hawks at the G @ $1.56 but leaving out of multis.

Fremantle v Collingwood: These two teams only play once a year it seems but quite often it has been Collingwood winning and I expect them to do the same over a Freo side I can't really trust without Pav. Collingwood @ $1.70

GWS v Adelaide: I expect the Crows to win this by more than 10 goals with some handy ins and a competitive effort against a highly-fancied Hawthorn team. Adelaide -52.5 @ $2.10

Melbourne v Gold Coast: Tough one as I thought the Suns had Freo on toast statistically. The same applies v Melbourne but Dawes gives them another forward option, freeing up Howe. Ablett is a star though and should run amok. I like the GC head to head @ $1.80.

St Kilda v Carlton: Are the Saints a stupid chance against the Blues with Waite out? They weren't too bad against the Pies and with Riewoldt playing well, no sign of Ko-shit-ski, and a midfield pretty capable itself, their four-goal line is enticing. St Kilda -23.5 @ $1.90
