Hasn't been the greatest of nights at the 'Bool. But it is a good refreshment as to how the track handles in wet conditions especially with the Warrnambool Cup being on tomorrow night.

Having a loss on the exotics tonight.


And we have The Meadows from Midday tomorrow and MTs Angle Park selections also.



The main advantage betting on the insides in the final race tonight, is that #8 moves in and may chop #7 who needs favours at the start to show best.

The Meadows

Race 1

#1 ROBYNATOR is a slow starter who will need all the luck in the world here. Likely to get squeezed up on the rail in the early pieces and isn't strong enough to run on. Is only second run back in a year.

#2 GO SURF is perfectly drawn here and will lead this field from the get go. Can run good times out in front and last start was far from disgraced. Should cross #1 at the jump and will hug the rails.

#3 OURBOY COSSIE is going to get a nice sit on the rails behind the leading pair as does begin slower than these, but with a clear run will be strong in the final 100m. Drawn to begin better due to the angle of the boxes and how #4,#2 begin. Will be right in this.

#4 PROVEN CASCADE begins right, so will be the one that ruins the chances for the outside boxes. Especially given the pattern of the other starters. Likes to race wide too and will cover too much extra ground in this race.

#9 WATERFRONT BOY needs to be drawn the rails to have any chance. Is likely to find trouble early as #5 drifts out to centre of track and #6 heads for rails. Doesn't boast impressive early speed which will be its downfall here. If #4 does miss the start, #9 will provide nice cover for the inside boxes.

#6 DONS DAUGHTER is going to have to cross, #4,#9 at the jump to stand any chance in this race. Was a strong all the way winner last start, but was massively favoured by the box draw and what happened behind. Will find this much tougher, especially racing pattern wise.

#7 MIDORI STORM is an improving bitch who may well just appreciate this draw. Especially given #9,6 want the rails. Can avoid this early carnage by beginning slower and pushing towards the rail at the start. Will be a much improved run.

#8 IGGLE PIGGLE is going to get stuck wide here, the extra ground won't do too much damage as can cover the distance easily. But really needs to lead races as times arn't that flash.

The room #4 needs at the start is going to play a huge role in this race, in my opinion. If #4 doesn't shift wide, then the race may change entirely. But this wont stop #2 GO SURF from leading all the way.

#4 JACK should ping to the front here and will be the one to catch. #5 can race irradic at the start, but is better than most of these. Watch for debutant #10, is in good hands and littermates are all proven in Victoria, winning at Sandown in solid times. Wont get the best start, as will be stuck out wide due to pace from 3,4,5 at the start. But may find rails and run home for a place.

It is an open race, as the leader does tire exceptionally bad by the time they reach the bend. But will be fitter. #5 has improved, while #1 gets all the favours on the rail avoiding the early speed battle. Should hug rail and will be stronger than #4 at finish.
