I am fairly confident of him going close tomorrow night even though i have given him an easier than normal week this week as the next four to five weeks he will be set for some better graded races both here and interstate so just gave him a very light freshen up before putting the K's back into his legs.

I decided to no longer be a part of Team Bundy.

We have our own website that was usually kept for family updates as we have family both interstate and overseas and its an easier way to keep in contact. It now has all our greyhound updates on there as well as a forum.

http://ryles-family.webs.com/

Awesome Ryles was injured on the home turn last night. He has a slight tear/strain to the top of his thigh. Couldn't lift his leg in the catching pen so it took us quite a while to get back to the kennels last night. Had him vet checked just to make sure nothing more serious was wrong this morning.

So in the end to have a slightly torn muscle and to only get beat by 2 lengths is a credit to the boy.

Geoff, are you considering taking Awesome Ryles interstate for distance races, he's killing the fields down here.

He is nominated for Bendigo this coming Sunday over 700m.

We are then looking at taking him to Sandown for the Lizrene Classic heats which are on the 16th April and Final on 23rd in preparation for a shot at the Sandown Cup in May.

We lost 7-10 days preparation with him after his last 731m race when he railed up strongly only to have Noble Quoted ram him into the running rail on the home turn. Resulting in a slight tear to his upper thigh muscle which is why i bypassed the Premiers Cup last week as he was still 1 run short in his preparation. Last nights run was a great hit out for him as he has only had the 1 531m race at Gawler and 1 643m trial at Gawler since he was injured.

The times last night were slow as the track was turned over on Friday which always results in slower times for the next couple of meetings until the track settles back down.
