Whats happen to MALUCKYDAY? I see that DECEMBER DRAW may have bit trouble geeting start being weighted 50.5 for cup listen to the handicapper the other day on TVN n was saying needs to will naturelism to get penalised more weight just to gain start in caulfield cup then would have to win that to get another weight penalty to get start in cup other option is to win the races like lexus that give automatic start.

After finishing in the placings in last years Melbourne Cup, Maluckyday offered so much but now the 2011 Melbourne Spring Carnival is over. Co trainer John Hawkes confirmed today that Maluckyday has suffered a virus and won't race again this carnival. Hawkes said Maluckyday had to be treated for the virus and they'd simply run out of time to get him 100%. TAB Sportsbet will refund all monies bet on the Melbourne Cup Spring promotion where Maluckyday was offered at $30.

Hey all hope was a profitable weekend for you all. just interested in everyones thoughts of the main runners for the 2 cups and cox. December Draw looked very good again n very hard to beat now in caulfield cup. Thought Lion Tamer was equally impressive and was happy with my first thoughts of Midas Touch n happy to be on it also thought that Black And Bent did enough to still keep in mind but still think may struggle to get in feilds. Any other horses that took your eye n think to keep eye on in their next start?

The way he shifted gears on Saturday was breathtaking. Has shown he can race on the pace or finish from behind. Ultra impressive.

I really think alcopop is back to his best. I think he could win either of the 2 cups or the cox. Don't know what he's actually set for but he won't be far away in all 3. Think whobe is at nice odds for the cox now. Melbourne cup, I like to see the Europeans have a run in oz before giving them a chance. No doubt the will take up the running and get mowed down by the clocktower

I think if Alcopop wins anything it is the Cox Plate.... Goes well at WFA...

Having said that I think Whobe is almost a monty..... Kav is being smart with him this year.... Is setting Whobe for the Cox Plate as he knows this is his chance to win it..... Hasn't looked 100% fit its past two runs and is just getting runs under its belt for the Cox Plate.... all its past few runs have done is let the odds get out a bit!!!

Totally agree Mr W. has always been the one winning everything, until the cox plate. Is good odds now, have a feeling may drift more especially with "little jimmy" going well.
does look fat at the moment. Ready to go late october.....

I see black and bent is out of the spring now was hoping he was able to stay sound n give it a go cos know he would run trip. i'm really leaning towards Lion Tamer and Americainin melb cup. Think december draw very very hard to beat in caulfield cup still up in air with cox interested in jimmy chiox would like to see how he is when gets over here first anyone know if having run before the cox but if you go on lion tamers 1st run you be surprised if not around the mark. I'm happy with my $46 on the december draw for caulfield cup into lion tamer in the melbourne cup i got 3 weeks ago.

i know SFA about horse racing.. but HELMET is a legend of a horse, mainly because of the name. I took him for the win on Cox Plate about 4-5 weeks ago @ $17

giddy up

I have Secret Admirer (Epsom) into Helmet (Cox Plate) for a tidy sum.

I think he;s good enough to do it. I'll lay off on Helmet before just to cover myself (I reckon Helmet might end up starting fave too).
