FRI GDP 16/7

R1-1 FIVE STAR JASPER
drawn to be in the finish
EXOTICS and likley to win the race

R6-3 KING GRIN
has early gate speed, probable leader and winner
EXOTICS and likley to win the race

OTHER RACES
R9-1 CHUCK WAGON
Watch this trotter with interest
Was wider than Bayman on debut when a slashing 2nd last start to Waikare Aristocrat
If unimpeded would win this convincingly
But did break close to the post last week which is a concern
I try and avoid backing young trotters from box one
The others might pressure him early and make it gazzonkle early
WATCH

SAT 17/7

R3-2 OUR RISING STAR
Sat outside Jacks on The Rocks and smashed it last start from a 2nd line barrier
From this barrier looks very hard to beat
Has a very good steerer in Jock Dunlop
WIN SPECIAL

R6-6 DIXIE CHICK DREAMA
7 wins in a row this season
has blistering early gate speed, looks a leader and looks almost unbeatable
likely to be unbackable odds
WIN ONLY not exotics as would need to be knocked over to lose

CHUCK WAGON ended up breaking from the inside barrier
Lost a lot of ground and did a very good job to run 2nd
A win for this trotter is coming soon on its only 2 runs, both seconds
I reckon it will end up winning more races than that star trotter ON THE ROCKS

It was certainly a risk
But when it draws any other barrier I reckon it will win a race

MONDAY 19/7
Agree with Bayman on PIXEL
I cant tip the horse as it needs a soft run which = needs luck, but it is an EW hope
Last run was doing a MAL , no work, 3rd on the pegs, and the leader weakened b4 the turn
PIXEL was dragged back thru the field and lost all hope

Hard meeting Monday and no tips
Would like to know any inFORMation on
R8-2 HIGH CLASS BROAD [named after an English cricketer !]
Has Hollywood in the cart
Any advice from the Victorain form enthusiasts would be appreciated

NO BETS for the meeting

TRY THESE TODAY
race 1 #11 win
race 2 #5 e/w laying #2 how can people tip this horse!!!
race 4 lay the #5 ordinary last week may have to work from the draw and that makes it a risk
race 5 the 4 is a big lay not going as it was will have to work from the draw cant see it winning
race 6 #10 good thing looks to speed of the front row will set it up for it to move into the race at the bell and win
race 8 agree with MAL the two looks the winner

RACE 2 SUMMARY
BEEJAY spot on
PIXEL needed a soft run
Got caught in the death and was beaten b4 the turn and ran about 6th
It started an absurd $2-20 on the TAB
BEEJAY tipped the $9-30 winner BEST PRACTICE !!!! :prayer: :prayer: :prayer:
Crikeys BEEJAY did you know PIXEL would be in the death , and did you also know that PERFECT ICON who has a 163.5 metre sprint would take off so early ?

What did I do, I took the $1-44 PIXEL a place on BETFAIR, and burnt my fingernails

HIGH CLASS BROAD in the last needs to lead to win , that info from the hot dog maker

i'll go back into my box & shutup, thankfully i walked into the tab & saw $2.40 & walked out phew, never a horse you can back that short but i didn't envisage it lobbing in the death either

What about the poor mugs that have jumped on at 4/5 would not have won with any run once it was used out the gate JUST A BAD HORSE.

Now Now...
The horse has won 3 lifetime races in 70 odd starts.. (Another Blu couldn't do that when we had him)
2 of those wins were at $35 and $200 - so jumping on a evens is something I wouldn't do...
Was great tipping though with that $9 winner!!

I'm off to Kilmore tonight to catch up with a few people about my horse, so have done the form;

R1 - 7 e/w looks a nice hope if the 5 can lead he's the horse to beat
R2 & R3 are dog races so time to get a meal
R4 - 2 looks almost a moral, 3,8 in wider quaddies
R5 - 12 e/w looks a good hope even from the bad draw, but 1,4,6,12 are the quaddie horses
R6 - 4 looks the winner, with 1,3,8 in wider quaddies.. also take the tri 4 - 1,8 - 1,8 and 4 - 1,3,8 - 1,3,5,8
R7 - 9 e/w special of the night over the mile.. 2,3,9,11 in the quaddies..
R8 - 6 and 7 will lap them.. take the quin and the mobile or clerk of the course to run 3rd in trifectas..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

After all that the Stewards intervened
A driver was queried over his driving tactics in this race
It was the driver of Tact Charles Oliver
Driver A Smith was asked why he came off the fence [by about the home turn] and hooked out instead of waiting to sprint lane to make its run
Stewards made some intimation that it cost Tact Charles Oliver running a place [ran 4th]
I would like to think any horse that only has to sprint such a short distance has been driven adequately ?

made no difference coming off the fence if it was good enough it would have ran the drum. I think the worst drive of the weekend was on carlisle queen??? what do you experts think?

Ive stated b4 , drivers as a rule drive OK
Occasionally they will incur someones wrath for an ill concieved drive, or a faulty decision in the run
Most times they steer from well to expertly
Even the great Hollywood Harding will drive a bad race on a nag

Its good to have active stewards querying driving tactics to keep everyone honest
Stewards have an inenviable job at times policing every single questionabe drive
The only concern at times is they miss worse drives than the ones they query upon

BEEJAY
No comment from me
Im exempted because of the expert clause
