RE: Doncaster Race Day Website Outage 2010
Dear
Sportsbet sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to members on Doncaster Race Day due to the temporary website outage between 3-4pm Saturday 17 April. We know you were online in the time leading up to and/or after the outage and we understand members put their faith in Sportsbet's usually robust website system and responsive customer service teams, only to be let down on one of Australia's biggest race days.
Our team is genuinely hurt by our inability to service you to the level you deserve. We hope you can please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced yesterday and give us a chance to restore your faith in placing your wagers with Sportsbet.
We are taking every possible measure to ensure there is no repeat of the poor site performance which occurred yesterday and do not anticipate there will be a repeat of these issues in the future.
As a gesture of goodwill I have credited your account with a free bet valued at $100.00 which is now available for you to use anytime on any race or sports event by midnight Sunday 25 April. Whilst this is not real compensation for the issues we caused you and other members, we hope it helps a little.
To use your free bet simply select the race event (and horse) or sport event you wish to wager on.
A betting slip will appear on the screen – you’ll see a menu on the right hand side “Free Bet” – select your free bet from this menu and finalise your wager. Done!
If the above instruction doesn’t help, please feel free to watch our video about how to redeem your free bet.
Please feel free to contact Customer Service on 1800 990 907 or Click here to send an email with any questions.
I personally thank you for your support of Sportsbet and I do hope you will continue to enjoy our service.
We wish you the best of fortune for the remainder of the Autumn Carnival.
Yours sincerely,
Matthew Tripp
