lol @ the sportsbet guy on one hd

"we've taken 180k on the cats at 1.80"

bull f#*$ing shit you've taken 180k at 1.80 i tried to place a 5 figure sum at 1.75 earlier in the week and they let me put on half the amount. Then, when i tried to resubmit the same bet the odds changed and it asked "do you accept these odds"

what a crock of shit these bookies are, im sorry i have to vent..these guys love to blow their horns about all over the media when in reality it is just smoke that they are blowing up public and the punters arses.

hey dutchy, nah i didn't call them up this time, both were internet requests, ive called up in the past and similar story has happened where they didnt let me bet that much on.

i reckon they only let a select few clients put that on big amounts, they are either:
1) Big Clients that usually lose or have a losing record
2) Clients that may be close friends/associates with the ceo, sports trading managers etc
3) Clients who bet by credit

Interesting, Ive heard before that you can get more on if you ring them up, wouldnt suprise me if things have changed since Paddy's took them on....your right though they are very keen to release info on bets to the media, cause its free publicity....

Ill explain later but earlier in the week I got $10k on Centrebet no probs by ringing them...and it was on one of the prop markets not the main market

i put some dollars on Bernie Vince getting the most votes for the crows in the brownlow and Steve Johnson the first goal in the Grand final i got 32/1 and i am one down one to go.
and i am going to put money on Gary Ablett for the Norm Smith
His dad won in 89 and Glenn Archer 99, so 89 GA 99 GA 09 GA

With the weather going to be $hit I think the unders on the point line are my main move. I am also going to back St kilda on Betfair pregame then look to lay off at odds on in the run, I think it is a genuine coin flip and the Saints have managed to prevail in every tight match they have played in except when Riewoldt missed after the siren.

Not a bad strategy, good chance the Saints will be ahead at some stage and come into $1.70

Geelong over 15.5 @ 5/4 & the Llaama faced nazi top goalscorer @ 11/4 at the moment, but will definately get into a couple of on the run bets as the afternoon wears on.

a few of my (way too) many bets for today......

1st goal/norm smith - Riewoldt/Scarlett @ $260-1

gablett to take the brownlow/normsmith double @ 16ish-1

draw at any quater @ 8-1

draw at half or full time @ 13-1

Both teams under 60pts @ 18-1 (now down to 6.50!!)

1st goal/margin - Chappy/geelong U39 @ 23-1

then the norm smiths........

Riewoldt @ 12-1 (got on this last week)

Kozzie @ 38-1 (also got on this last week, he's now out to about 52, how the hell does that make any sense? when there was approx 90ish players in the running, he's paying 38, then when theres only 44 he goes out to 52?!?!?!)

Scarlett @ 21-1

Ling @ 31

Selwood @ 12

most of them are only $10, exept for the BOTH TEAMS UNDER 60pts, i think i whacked either $30 or $35 on that, coz on monday or tuesday i read on here (i think it was Dutchy?) that it was to be poor wather in melbourne today. but i left most my tickets in the work ute, so i'm not sure.

will probably chuck on a few more this morning, as i get more and more bored!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!

Whoops, just had an unmatched bet the draw but forgot to cancel it, now have half @ 42/1 & half @ 40/1. See the TAB have the draw at 25's & IAS has come in from 40's to 33's overnight.

betfair is pretty much the only way to go with punting, its vital to have an account with them no matter what you punt on

good liquidity on most grand final markets including first goalscorer and norm smith medal at much better prices than the bookies or the goat
