I thought Pettigrew would be hard to beat in race 2

Ryan wins on a well supported horse beating Pettigrew - good result for me taking points from Pettigrew but Bell missed out

protest in first is dismissed and then MELHAM picks up a $1.30 fav ride in race 2 :twisted:

no, disagree with that, nothing wrong with sitting wide if you know you have the horse-power

S Pomare in NZ 16 days ago at Rotorua over 1950m sat no closer then 7 deep the trip and in fact was probably 10 wide down the home straight, ended up winning by around 5 lengths and then another 8-10 lengths to the rest of the field

It was a maiden, first up from a spell and only its second race start.

GEELONG

Melham leads on 6 but no more rides

Rawiller has 1 more ride on a fav and is one point behind

Mott has 2 more rides (3 behind Melham ), one is the 2nd fav behind rawiller
