Big Aistralian races are a graveyard for NZer's.

I can't believe people are all over Jimmy Choux.
What's the attraction? You saw him beat up B-graders in NZ?

No disrespect, but I actually think people like picking the overseas horse because it is more of an unkown quantitty and it makes them think they are shrewd form analysts.

It makes their friends stand up and go "oh wow, you're picking an overseas horse... you must be an astute form watcher, you must be on top of the racing world, etc, etc."

Helmet is a STAR. Secret Admirer likewise. The Jimmy Choux backers will have egg on their face.
Stick with the Aussies, where's the patriotism!!!!!????????????

I think it's extremely weak too CK. If Showcause or I'm Jake win, they'll get shown up in the Melb Cup big time.

I'm backing Tanby aswell. Looked good last start (loosing by neck to Sarwan), can travel the distance and is prepping for the Melbourne Cup

anyone ever boxed the field in a trifecta for the cup?? My bro did it the year Viewed won and claimed a solid return.
cost him about $100 to put it on. Only thing you need is for a roughy to win and ur in for a decent return!

Viewed paid $42.00 and Bauer ran second at $10 the place from memory

never done it, and unlikely to do it myself but you can strike it big if you get the right result.

Jimmy Choux - Out of interest Willy, what makes you like?

I am not convinced with its recent runs in NZ, yeah Group 1's but Red Ruler came 3rd to it by couple lenghts and that thing hasnt run well in Australia for years... racing against nags me thinks

It's last race in NZ was ultra impressive.... I don't care who it beat.... It dug deep over 2040m and was flying at the finish - something you need in the Cox Plate.

The fact that I backed it around $12's appeals to me as well!

McKevoy has a decision to make - if Helmet battles for the lead like it did in the Guineas Jimmy will run it down no problems at all.... BIG difference between winning over 1600 hanging tough and winning over 2040 at Moonee Valley.

Helmet does not worry me one bit. Rekindled Interest is a concern.... Am more confident of Helmet missing the placings than I am on Jimmy winning, but will be laying Helmet the win and place and backing Jimmy to win....

Oh, and that race against Red Ruler - yeah was only 2 lengths, but Jimmy was a long way behind at the turn after Red Ruler took off in front and went woooshing past and left Red Ruler standing.... Very good sign for the Moonee Valley straight IMHO.

geelong

race 6

chances to 1,2,3,4,7,11,14

out of those i think the value is with the 2,3 and then 7,11

race 7

risk the toppy, terrible odds, can win because of the field but im prepared to risk it

many hopes in this as its fairly even bunch

main value with the 7,12,8 and then 2,3,6,10

race 8

another race with many hopes, keen on a few roughies here

the main value is

2,14,15 and then 4,8,9.
