huge ask... haha.

looks like both multis will be alive come novemeber 2nd

hehehe, hoping he can flash down the wing and score a try! That's what happens when you are watching the world cup and typing about the Melbourne Cup. Der!

Thought Aus and NZ would be too good in their respective games. Bring on Nov 2!

On Sportsbet, I took their offer of picking the Caulfiield Cup/Melbourne Cup double. I'm alive in that after picking Southern Speed but took Lion Tamer as the Melb Cup winner, so here's hoping either get up*

Nice get! I had Green Moon for CC

I think later on in the week Sportsbet put out the remaining options for the Melb Cup. Last year I had Shocking in the Cup and was one of about 900 to share in 10000 if it won. I'm hoping this year it's a few less than 900.

Terrible to hear about December Draw. I didn't think it would win, but it's not good when the horse suffers during a race like that. Best of luck to connections and Kav and hopefully we see it back to full strength for the carnival next year.

Just Lion Tamer Johno. How much I win will rely on how many people took Southern Speed (SS) in the Caulfield Cup. I know the winning prize is 10000, so if there are 100 people on Lion Tamer and it wins, I win 100/10000.

I've heard that SS wont run in the Melb Cup, otherwise I would've gone SS into SS to win the whole shebang. Hopefully connections don't pay a late nom.

Given I've plonked money on Tullamore, I'll be hoping either Tullamore or Lion Tamer wins.

just noticed something interesting.. SHAMROCKER at $51.00 for the cox plate and rated a $16.00 chance for melb cup...
id think he a better chance over the shorter distance having won the AJC derby over 2400 and placing 2nd in the AJC Oaks earlier this year. can anyone else shed some light on this??

I am still super keen on Jimmy Chioux..... Will be having a decent bet on it.... Not keen on the $4 at the moment, think it will pay more on the Totes I reckon....

Don't like Helmet's chances at all.... Will be laying Helmet the place....

I agree Mr W, I'm very keen on Jimmy Choux this weekend also ... Already have a few futures that are alive so not sure if I want to add another runner in the race, will probably depend on what price JC gets out to.

Can't recall track work ever getting cheques, dodgy? 8)

Jimmy has been known to mix his track work..... And did have a good hit out on Saturday.... Hopefully everyone else thinks like you dodgy!

Might take a saver on Rekindled Interest....

Better check the place market for Helmet then dodgy if you want it.... I reckon it was just about done last start.... And it won't get its own way in front on Saturday either.... Will win if it gets a Maldivian like run, otherwise I can't see it running a place...

Another 20m last start and Manawanui beats Helmet... that was over 1600m.. not 2000m, and a tough run 2000m at that.

Jimmy Choux - Out of interest Willy, what makes you like?

I am not convinced with its recent runs in NZ, yeah Group 1's but Red Ruler came 3rd to it by couple lenghts and that thing hasnt run well in Australia for years... racing against nags me thinks
