Hello fellow punters just joined up to safooty net and love reading this forum. I'm heading over to the melbourne cup for first time n wanting to put few early fixed price bets on. love to know who you all got eye on n think are good bets to put on now also through the spring be good to look back on at later date.

Have to agree with MT, bit early yet. Look at Rebel Raider last year, won a race, became favorite then broke down.

Cheers boy just interesting watching couple potentional runners go around last week n in next few just intersted in who you might have in mind. i really liked the run of december draw and midas touch on weekend. Was just thinking putting couple small bets on few with good odds not so much december draw being favourite but midas touch around $80 mark.

can always mix up a few combos and take the Cups doubles and cox plate - cup double. but id wait a few more weeks and rather have money invested on a horse who will definately run in those races

Sounds good might hold off couple weeks then. You got any in mind over spring to watch in any races. I followed horse called vesper last preperation didn't set house on fire but just got feel bit older, more mature n williams horses in form early this spring might bob up n win a good race at good odds.

Keen as on DECEMBER DRAW.... I got on at $40, wouldn't touch the $10 or whatever it is now!! I do think if it starts though it will be $5 or less....

I think BLACK AND BENT is worth an EW ticket.... Don't think it can win, but is massive overs... Well worth getting on if you have Betfair and laying later...

the last few days have been quite profitable, all ive been doing is focusing on the market and looking at the moves.

if anything shortens i anchor it/them in exotics - mainly exactas with the others that have either held their price or may have drifted by no more then $2

Has been racing over the jumps actually Johno, and has been murdering them despite messing up some of its jumping in a couple that I remember.

They have said they are aiming it at the melb cup.... I'm not sure it can win, but one thing you do know is that it will get the distance no problems!

yeah sorry, knew it was jumps.. but was just wasnt sure how easy it had been winning etc
just figure if its dominating jumps surely its gotta be a chance with no jumps
