Ooh ok, I can understand your concern .. As a rule (ie, not necessarily all the time) I find he usually gives his mounts a decent chance

That he did, but then sat down on it witha few metres to go and we got done on the line

I had already put the cue in the rack.... Made a nice profit on the day.... My last bet was Padman's in the race before.... Was going to go on Savvy if I collected anything...

Sorry lads I honestly wouldnt have backed it unless I owned it. Thats the first win Nielsen has delivered for a horse Ive been involved in and I reckon he has had 15-20 rides.

No real thread to put this one, but - despite what unfolded behind it to make his job infinitely easier - surely Al Garhood would now have to be rated right up there with some of the all time great steeplechasers this country has produced. Two Grand Annual Steeplechases, Two Brierley Steeples - just an amazing horse. Yes, he only beat the only other horse left standing today, but still a grand effort. Hopefully, the owners look toward retiring him while he is still sound.
