DOGS JULY 6-12 + Johnny Mc

JOHN McCALLION
Sad to hear that Greyhound stalwart John McCallion has passed away
John was an absolute favourite of mine at the dog tracks and Im gunna really miss him
JMC loved discussing Greyhound ownership/training and the dog industry with me
We had lots of chats over the years
The silver haired fella was a true gentleman
I dont know the circumstances that led to the great mans passing away, I guess someone will post that.
JMC had a terriffic money spinning dog called SWEET MATT that won almost 40 races
The naming of the dog was ironic
It was named after JMCs grandson young Matt
Matt is the young man with the leg problems who is seen at the dog tracks
Matt a few years ago ago did a course to become a soccer coach
Once he was accredited he coached
Matt coached a NE junior feMALe soccer team
He coached my kid
A courageous effort to coach considering his leg probs, and was a fine coach
I had not known that Matt was JMCs grandson until I saw them together at the track one evening
Itsa sMALl world after all
Once again I re-iterate what a great bloke John McCallion was
R.I.P
Sadly missed

MONDAY DOGS 6/7/09

AWESOME RYLES
Best of luck for RK who is setting this dog for the National Distance Championships in WA
MANHATTAN ANGEL
Good luck to Ben MURPHYS LAW dog !

QUINELLA+ EXACTAS

R8-8 BLOSSOM STAR
Good field
This is what BS will do
Begin with them

Will try to push thru the field and either get clobbered or hold its ground
Will be miles off them off the back
Be blocked for a run just b4 home turn
Will hook out and scrape the outside fence on the home turn
And swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooop very late
Reckon it will run 3rd 4th or 5th today about 3 lenghths off the winner
Will be big odds in this field
Worth a sMALl place bet
PLACE $0x$2

R11-1 EMERLEY WHO
[7] HYPNOTIC FLO is capable of a brilliant run when it fires
The safe option is to back EMERLEY WHO EW or in EXOTICS as should be in the finish
EW $1X$1
If too short try QUINS/EXACTAS/ANY2S

WANDY QUEEN
QUINS/EXACTAS gets up, beaten by a brilliant run by Crystal Skull 31-04
WQ run its usual time but beaten by a better dog on the day

EXOTICS ran 3rd so Quins/exactas lost, A2s get up
Paid $1-20 for EW betters
The [7] HYpnotic flo was a late scratching which made EW too short
EW lost ground around the first turn, got too far back
Did rocket home late for a big 3rd

BAL $8-30
LOSE $2-00 BS
LOSE $0-80 EW

BAL +5-50

WED DOGS 8/7/09

R3-1 LIL DANI
[4] ALL CONQUEST is reported to be a dog of enourmous potential, failed at only run
Dunno if AC is gunna fire or not
Suggest we back LD to run a place
Has some dash, holds a spot or leads and should be in the finish
Place is the insurance in case the 4 fires
PLACE

R5-1 NIRIMBA KNIGHT
Reckon its better at Gawler
Has had a look at the new lure at APK so might improve
Looks the likely leader, but does tire in the run home
In front is the place to be, so must be a hope
EW

R8-8 GOLD
Pearl of a pup
SPANDAU BALLET x JOHN STEWART is not the breeding !!!
2-4-6 all have claims
But GOLD drawn well in 8 is gunna lead or vie for the lead
Simply must be in the finish
6 WHERES CHUCKY might lead and hold out GOLD on the first turn
Would declare GOLD but I reckon it is its first race start with the new lure
So will trust in for the Exotics
QUINS/EXACTAS/A2S/TRIFECTAS

RAY BORDA
The Macro meat man is gunna sponsor the Strath dogs Cup later this year
I believe up to $10k extra in prizemonies by the great man ???
The Macro messiah is the man !

LIL DANI............. PLACE.....2ND $1-50..............................usual effort
NIRIMBA KNIGHT...EW..........1ST $1-70 + $1-00  .........did stop but hung on [too short to punt]
GOLD..................EXOTICS..1ST......................................won by ''STREETS.''

John Stewart and Spandau Ballet had vision
They sang thier songs in the last millenuim about this 2009 star pup
GOLD with them on the first corner and then went WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOSKAAAAAA
Tri paid almost a grand for those who take them [not me]
Some big Exotics allround if anyone was fortunate to snare em

ELLE ADDIS won its first race in SA :partyman:

3 - 1,4,5,8 boxed - 8-1-4 some nice divvies there

4 - 4,6,7,8 - 2nd,

5 - 1,3,7,8 - 1-2-7-8

6 - 1,8 - 6-8-1 - good result for the roving tri players

7 - 2,6 one of these has to win - 1,7,9 well i thought one of 2,6 had to win, as it turns out both in the last 4

8 - 8 to win and 6 to be placed behind it - 8 wins and the 4 gets into the first 4. first 4 players get a result while tri players would be very unhappy
