No you dont.

Nothing wrong with a press release that states facts based on a specialist medical assessment that has been used to make an informed decision to retire.

I only briefly heard this in passing so if it's not right than I stand corrected.
The AFL trying to pass the buck onto clubs for players' welfare around concussion and the lawsuit.

The cumulative effect of having 9 previous concussions and then the accidental collision in my last game has made the decision to retire the right call.
That sounds more non pointing the finger.

I'm sure his brain was different after his first concussion and his 9th.

Correct, wasn't accidental at all.

Brayshaw diverted his line to initiate the contact in an effort to draw a down field free kick.

I reckon he gets 4.

His timing (pardon the pun) is terrible with everything going on in the league & being played out in the media re concussion/electing to bump…
The AFL may choose to make an example of him with a more severe penalty than what he may have got last year.

The socials are funny with respect to this incident

everything in between "change his name to Patrick Cripps" to "death by firing squad"

They might give him an extra week and then let him serve it in the next practice game (i heard the rule changed recently to allow this?)

Ie - they think its worth 4, but give him 5 (to send the statement)... but them let him serve one for the next practice game.

Media will run with 5 weeks, everyone gets the message that its harsh. But he really serves 4.

Ideal leadership group:

1 captain
1 vice captain
All other experienced (e.g. 150+ game) players are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities on and off field

The idea of formally designating a "leadership group" is corporate wank IMO.

SPP gave his evidence this morning and told the hearing he was trying to tackle.

Port have got the bio-mechanist involved.

Don’t you normally use your arms to tackle?
