One thing that's been puzzling me over all this - in what medical situation does the poses made by Aliir and Jones after they clashed is not as a result of being KO'ed?

You’d be pretty proud waking up after that performance last night if you’re a Port supporter

Is that you Ken?
Turn it up, they lost to a team that was outside the 8 and had just as many injured players as Port that were out.

If they are to go deep into September, they have to win these games surely.

Kidding aren’t you. They had 4 late withdrawals on top of their other outs and traveling to one of the hardest places to win. Throw on their issues from last week.

I hate Port more than anyone but credit where it’s due.

I love a good Port bash as much as anyone but I thought they were good last night and very unlucky to lose that one considering all their late changes.
Similar to our game I feel the home town umpiring in the last quarter was a contributing factor.
Port should still start favourites in their 3 remaining games and if they win them all then they will most likely finish top 2, lose 1 and it gets a bit dicier

Not at all.
The Cats had players out too!
When the heat was on the Cats leaders stepped up and won that game for them.
Where were Ports leaders?

Going to be hard for Port to come back now after 4 losses in a row.

Name them, and don't say Tim Minchin, he's been out all year.
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

What is happening? Two of the most ardent haters of Port defending them

I think at times opposition supporters need to give credit where it’s due

Kochie hinting that a contract extension for Hinkley might be just around the corner:

“I think it would be silly not to do it before finals because you just don’t want that distraction. We always said there would be a discussion and a decision in August and at this stage there’s no reason for me to think otherwise.”

Clearly not a Port supporter lol but stupid to sign him now without proving himself in finals where that is where he has fallen down before.

August time line was always ridiculous. He's proven August isn't where his / the teams limitations are.

Don't want the distraction during finals
Its not a distraction - its pressure to perform after 11 years
What happens if they re-sign him and Port go out in straight sets? Koch, and the entire Board, will be in the sights
What's Josh Carr going to do if they re-sign Hinkley for 2 years? I know nothing about the internals of PP but I hear Carr is pretty good

There's going to be blood in the water :drinkers:
