If the "rebuild" started in 2020 after finishing bottom who, of this list, are part of the best 22 in 2027 (3 years from now) ?

Trade 2020 - Hinge
Draft 2020 - Thilthorpe, Pedlar, Cook, Berry, Rowe, Borlase, Newchurch, Hately, Murray, Parnell

Trade 2021 - Dawson*
Draft 2021 - Rachele, Soligo, Taylor, Nankervis, Turner

Trade 2022 - Rankine
Draft 2022 - Michalenney, Dowling, Bond, Brown Keane

Trade 2023 - Burgess
Draft 2023 - Curtin, Edwards, Ryan

I've got 10. Those blaming Nicks might need to look at the cattle.

In 2027 Dawson turns 30.

I'd like to see some more games out of Nank before judging him, likewise Dowling who should be given a game by now, and way too early to judge the 2023 class considering they have not played a game but in principle you're right. Recruiting has gone to shit way before 2020.

One swallow* does not a summer make. Had a shocker Friday night and looks like he's got the ability, not sure he's got the lateral movement or tank to be a midfielder either. He is also contracted to 2029 which, in anyone's book, looks absurd right now.

Agreed. Why Parnell, Cook and Sholl get a look in ahead of him has me beat.

Dowling and Curtin will be in the best.

I have mentioned before we have recruited very poorly. However, I think some games this year have been lost due to coaching errors. At the end of the season, Nicks will be the Crows second longest serving coach. On results, even taking into account the planned rebuild, he doesn't deserve that title just yet. But all reports when he was an assistant was that he was a very good coach, the Crows are standing behind that and it may pay off - not this year but often there is a step back before multiple steps forward.

Nicks will be gone before the end of the year if they don't start winning a few games.

Nicks is the least successful crows coach in its history. He lost his first 13 as a coach and Won the clubs first wooden spoon.

Silvers stated in February the crows were going to play finals this season.

2 months later he is blaming the list.

Where’s Sloane at?
With the Crows unlikely to play finals now does he come back into the team?
Surely they are better off playing the younger guys to see who they keep or not.

Decision needs to be taken out of his hands, for his own safety. I don't think they play him regardless for that reason.

Yes, agree with this comment and MW also.

There is no way he is playing again, why risk your eye sight permanently when that elusive premiership is years away

Possibly because he still loves playing the game I would've thought
We didn't start playing footy to win flags we started cause we loved playing the game.
He's no different to the rest of us who have played.
It's a bloody hard game to give up even without six figure salary.
