I reckon there's 2, maybe 3 games you can pick with a modicum of confidence this weekend.

MT has already declared Geelong as certainties.

I'd have to agree with you there, I can't see too many people flopping out the wild card this week.

Why, has he picked Melbourne?

No he was bullish about Geelong, maybe a few too many home brews, dunno.

I’ve heard it called many things, never “the wild card” though...

Port and Hawthorn (2) and maybe Brisbane (3).

It's got some promise though.

*Flops out "wild card"*

"What's that?"

"It's my wild card"

"Oh yeah, what does it do?"

"Gets me through to the next round"

Essendon, Port, Freo you'd think should be comfortable selections for most this week

She thinks it might be a King but it ends up being a Joker.

West Coast flog GWS every time over there
Melbourne are still seriously short of a gallop. Geelong has a heap of debutants too. We don't have Port's ruck strength but Cat Park is a happy hunting ground
Collingwood are short of a gallop as well. Reckon Richmond can win that one
Reckon Freo are too slick for Gold Coast

As for the rest sheesh. Sydney v Adelaide who knows! I'm a big fan of tipping losing teams who face the winners the week after. Not going against the Cats at home but I'm thinking Essendon and North should be the go in those other tough fifty-fifties. Really stuck on the Swannies v Crows and leaning towards the Blackbirds but Sydney played better last week and are at home too.

regards,

REB

I am favouring the Cats, they should be up and about and Melbourne's lack of conditioning looked so bad it would be hard to have any confidence about them, but they went close at Cat Park last year and you'd expect a reaction after last weeks game so who could know for sure? Leaning toward WC, but not confidently and NFI about the Sydney game lol

Saints are still at $3.60, going to get me some of that!

Why is it that Melbourne saw fit (no pun) to play Jones and Viney when anyone who watched the game saw for themselves that they weren't up to it?

I think a lot of clubs take the gamble in round 1 IMO. Franklin shouldn’t have played and we had a couple of blokes that never should have either. Lynch looked way off it aswell but Richmond would have wanted to roll him out in round 1 for the members
