No where else to discuss preseason games, so thought I’d start a thread.
Thought it’s really stood out West Coast constantly going backwards to go forwards.
Any word on playing conditions in Pirie?

42 and partly cloudy. The oval is in great nic, had plenty of water (have a turf wicket this year) but 42 is too hot for footy.

Ludicrous conditions, even for professionals. Should shift it to Thebby or somewhere on Sunday or Monday

Cricket moved to Sunday yet footy still playing, ludicrous.
The hospital is going to be packed with people suffering from heat stroke tomorrow night.

Agreed and it doesn't reallly send the right message to kids who have cricket called off at 36 and footy training at 34.
Playing AFL practice games in March during the day is craziness.

Murphy

I'd be after a refund with that hairdo. Even go as far as revoking the hairdressers licence

Don't mind the new rules so far but I reckon the coaches will find a way once the proper stuff starts.

And this is my problem with the new rules, or any rules. The coaches will sort it out so that it has as-little impact as possible in certain situations.
BTW, why do we need a goalsquare any more? Just for marks in the square itself?

Rewarding a mark inside the square with a kick from straight in front? Other than that you wouldn’t think it serves much practical purpose. I hope it’s always there though, been a part of the game all my years.

Looking forward to seeing the Bombers down at Geelong tonight ; first time we've played there since late in 1993.

Not getting the Shiel hype from the commentators. Shows glimpses but you can see why he's a Bomber and Kelly, Whitfield, Conigilio and Ward are not.
