Why thebarton oval?

Its supposed to be a national league and theyre set to play at amater central on the biggest oval in the state with the most barron outer non seating youll ever see

Great for oval administrators but its hardly inviting to go watch girls playing at thebby. Its hardly inviting watching the div 1 grand final lol

Biggest oval in the state?
Aren't Elizabeth, Noarlunga and Football Park in SA?

Didn't we have this discussion a while back? St.Marys Park from memory was second behind Elizabeth on playing surface size. Exact same dimensions as Footy Park but the boundaries are far closer to the fences.

well who cares really

if anyone really has any interest at all to going to a crows womens afl game, having it at thebby will turn most away

the norwood single game will get a bigger crowd than the 2 thebby games put together lol

Thebby is more attractive an option than any other oval in the state for me. The comp didn't interest me but I might go to the Thebby games, wish there was more footy there.

Thebby has the same problem as Prospect. Does not run North/South .

Hows the 4.35 pm time slot February? Should only be night games.

Channel Nine announce AFLW panel show 'Women's Footy' to begin Sunday 5th February.

To run concurrently with the AFLW season in February and March, it will be hosted by Tiffany Cherry, with football reporter Ros Lanigan and a rotating panel including Moana Hope, Katie Brennan, Melissa Hickey and Stephanie Chiocci.

Players from AFL teams will also feature on the show, produced by Crocmedia.

It's being produced by Hutchy's company Crocmedia like Footy SA too.

Kelli Underwood and Neroli Meadows will call the action on FOX Footy’s NAB AFL Women’s League from February.

FOX Footy commentators including Adam Papalia and Tanya Armstrong will join them for 28-matches staged over seven weeks. The eight-team competition takes place across seven states, beginning with Collingwood on February 3, 2017, at Olympic Park Oval, Melbourne.

The Crows women's team lost the first ever AFL women's trial game yesterday to flag favourites Fremantle in Darwin by 22 points.

Fremantle 8.10 (58)
Adelaide 4.12 (36)

Also Erin Phillips & Chelsea Randall have been named as co-captains for the Crows this season.

More chance of me going to watch it at Thebby, a few thousand there would be a pretty good atmosphere (as would Norwood), Thebby has a lot easier access and more parking than Norwood.

Thebby & Prospect run NE to SW
Alberton runs NW to SE
Elizabeth is closer to North-South but still a fair way off, Adelaide is out by just as much but in the other direction
Woodville & Noarlunga aren't quite as far off but still not North-South
Richmond & Glenelg are about as far off North-South as Woodville & Noarlunga but in the other direction

Footy Park was the only true North-South oval, perhaps we'd better move all games there so you can be at ease with the compass
What other problem would it cause?

It probably means more people will go to the games if Underwood commentates. She has a voice like two cats fornicating.

I just read on a Channel 9 ADelaide Football League post that all AFLW games are free. Is this true?
The same post congratulated the Crows on a great first up win when they got clearly beaten. I guess that's why it's called amateur league. Pretty embarrassing really.

They defiantly should be free, Imagine the uproar of the 12 people that will go watch if they had to pay.......
