I do agree that the AFL treats AO for granted though - it is definitely not acknowledged how good the crowds are for both port and the crows for lower drawing teams - similar games against melbourne teams in melbourne are usually terribly attended

Absolutely, the AFL trust Port / Adelaide members to roll up, thus we generally get a bum share of shitty time slots. It's a back handed compliment.

( 22,000 for Collingwood v West coast yesterday under the roof ).

Crows have had amazing timeslots this year, so cant complain about that.

We will get three sunday home games - GWS, Richmond and Port

All the rest have been Thursday (Which the crows ask for), Friday or Saturday nights.

Port have had a few dodgy ones this year, but that should improve again next year with their improved form

Sunday and Thursday games are rubbish for traveling supporters though.

What I would like to know is why away teams fans have stopped coming to AO in such large numbers as previous years. Personally speaking I would go as far as introducing an actual marketing and incentive program for attracting away fans. Be it deals with hotels, restaurants, the Casino - even book out sections of Adelaide Oval for events and sell that too. They might already be doing this ...

Because both of your clubs allow bugger all seating for the opposition supporters. I know for the Essendon game earlier in the year we were allocated 200 tickets behind the Northern goals only. Any other fans coming over had to chance their luck in GA and get seated wherever there was spare seats around the ground

I found it quite the opposite, when looking recently at a Port game and there were premium seats on the wing available

If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Don't really see the point in dropping someone for a week. How much can you actually work on in one game? I love Hombschy but his 1v1 defending hasn't been strong enough this year. Like to see two or three weeks of really good stuff.

With those changes I would move Trengove into Austin's spot and Eddy into Trengove's spot.

Amon has had two runs back,I think he comes in to replace White on the outside. While White has more pace he's not got the finishing skills of Amon.

Hombsch, from what I understand, hasn't been super in his two games at SANFL level ( I haven't seen either, away for one and crook the other ) so unless match ups dictate I think Austin might stay in the side ahead of him.

Your "pretty charts" and "numbers arranged in columns" are pretty much meaningless until you provide a standard error of estimate/validation of the precision of champion data's "numbers" particularly when there is no quotient provided for inter-measurer reliability given the vast cohort of statisticians that they use.

PS my "eyes" tell me from Sunday that if you play Eddy this week give the 4 pt to St Kilda now.

i thoughts Pittards remonstrates where much improved on the weekend along with his stumbles. He is certainly playing with a much tighter man-bun ATM
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'd agree if it was only champions data that we were using. The entire point of SWARM was to combine metrics from different sources to flatten out those sorts of errors. Combining the anecdotal and non-anecdotal.

In addition, I do believe there is quite extensive documentation on the stats the AFL use and it is vetted regularly.

My eyes read the SANFL goal kicking column.

I didn't see his game though. If he isn't capable or is being understandably salty, then bring in Howard or Marshall.

Nah I am off him. Can play SANFL until he demonstrably proves he is a committed Port Adelaide player IMO.

Neither Howard nor Marshall are making a case for selection and I'm certainly not one to pick a bloke out of form just for structure sake.
