Was shocked to read this this morning in the news. I didnt agree with alot of what she wrote and said at times but you must hand it to her she never backed down in a male dominated industry.
RIP Rebecca Wilson.

A trailblazer in her field, one of the greatest. Vale Rebecca Wilson.
Kerry O'Keefe summed it up well on twitter, 'If you can make it in Sydney sports journalism, you can make it anywhere, you made it sister!'

Vale Rebecca Wilson.

Love her or hate her, she made her presence felt.

54 is way too young to go. Thoughts are with her family.

Couldn't stand her, especially the rubbish and blatant lies in regards to some of her A-League articles

Though the sooner we get a cure for cancer the better, she is far too young to be taken, I wish her family and friends all the best

Because she highlighted the louts and idiots who give the competition a bad name? More power to her and more the reason she'll be missed.

Good on her.

You do realise more people were evicted and banned from AFL games this season than the last A-League season, also didn't see her publishing names of those banned from AFL games either remembering 90% of the names she published were never convicted of any crimes either

In 2015 when the article was written 128 fans had been evicted from 10 AO AFL games no mention of their names in any paper

Liked her back in the days of The Fat. Similar boat to others, whilst I didn't always agree with what she had to say, you had to admire her thick skin and willingness to call it as she saw it in a male dominated industry.

54 is far too young, feel sorry for her family.

Had doors opened for her by here late father Ian Wilson but she still had to walk through them and forge her own career.

Bastard of a disease, RIP Rebecca

Very sad news. Like others I didn't always agree with her opinions but it took serious guts to keep putting her opinions out there despite all the shit she copped being a female sports journo in a male dominated industry.

RIP
