Okay I've got a problem with that game getting called off. What is the reason for this? It's devestating for all football fans, however this game should be getting played. All games bar the Port and Adelaide games should be played

I just hope if all games have a minute silence for Phil Walsh they actually do a whole minute. In the past some have been no longer than 30seconds. A minute isn't a long time to give thanks to a guy that has added a lot to this game.

Making a lot of sense lately Ramrod, we are agreeing far too much..

I was going to both games at Prospect and AO, but the best decision has been made by all involved. Really don't care about the $130 I formed out for Sundays game either, send it to a charity or refund it, not fussed.

I missed the presser, damn meeting.

I find Andrew to be a great appointment by AFC. A relatively young bloke but speaks very well and appears to be an astute leader

Fair call. I'm not a Chapman fan by any stretch (and I mean any) but I thought he looked visibly moved and represented his club extremely well.

A tragedy. The impact on the family and then how it ripples out to so many. My deepest sympathies.

Makes his comments a couple of months ago all the more tragic.

As a fan I was really intrigued by Walsh in a way that I hadn't been with other coaches (maybe Cornes) in that he just seemed like a very complex and interesting guy.

Seemed like there was a whole lot more to him than most people. Would be one of those "who would you wanna have dinner with" types of guys

Calling the game a draw is the best thing to do. I have tickets to the game on Sunday and im happy they made this call, at the end of the day its just a game of footy, players welfare must be the clubs number 1 priority.

I thought the Adelaide press conference was very well handled, very professionally handled.

I am quite close with a person who knew Phil and he has mentioned several times before he was a football nutter, was just obsessed with it. You could tell that whenever he spoke about it. Controlled his life at times. Apparently very similar to Mark Williams, Just lived and breathed footy.

Devastating news, have been staying off line for most of the day. I was lucky enough to have met and known Phil for quite a few years now. Magnificent football person and such a sharp footy mind.

Shattering for The family and my heart goes out to all involved with with the family, his friends, the Adelaide footy club and it's fans, the Port footy club and also the Eagles players and staff who he by all reports had a big affect on.

Life is far too short, make sure you hug and tell your family you love them tonight.

From a media industry viewpoint, it is significant that the Advertiser and Herald Sun have released afternoon editions.
It's been a very long time since this has happened.
